good phone for first smart phone.4

For my first smart phone, this has been a good one. I like the android apps. It was easy to learn the functions. Auto correct can be frusrating. Only thing i don`t like is when a call comes in I have trouble unlocking to be able to answer the call. It has a large keypad which is easy to use and large screen which is easy to read. Also it fits well in your hand...just not your pocket.- Age : 35-44

After weighing all my options of getting on board with the Galaxy III or waiting for their quad core (G4), I decided to get the best bang for the buck and go with LG's quad core. I am not looking back. I have large hands and wanted a large phone (finally!). The Note was too big for my taste to travel with, the Optimus G was right on track. Super fast with downloads, taking and receiving pictures, and managing all programs.
1. The Note has dual screens but the Optimus G has multiple screen overlays you can use the slide rule and minimize how you want while doing other things on top. Awesome!
2. Forget finding a pen at the last minute. While talking you can write on the screen with your fingertips and the phone will save it.
3. In the daytime pics are snapped in less than a second. People complain about the pics but mine come out crystal clear. Night pics are a little slower, let's say 1 second, but that is faster than most. You also have the pleasure of recording prior to taking a pic and can save pics before the shot also AND moving pics can be recorded and snapshot!
4. I am not a gamer or over the top with Internet use. So far my batteries are lasting two days with normal use with plenty to battery life left. I am using my phone while traveling in Europe and the speed, etc. has not changed.
5. Because of the glass, I have Ghost Armor on the front and back with a hard plastic shell & holder. Works great and highly recommended.
6. Lastly, both cameras are awesome!
Sound is on par with a cell phone. I think the new HTC One is the only dual speaker system out. With my AT&T discount and the great price of the phone, I came out ahead!!!! You will love this phone!
** Beware of other phones that you cannot take the battery out of to reset or add memory!** You can do both with this phone!- Age : 45-54
- Phone size: : Large

A beast of a phone for $505

I love this phone!
- Great build quality,
- Huge beautiful HD 720p screen,
- Speaker is decently loud,
- A fast CPU that screams through android like it's a IPhone! It never chugged even with 20+ programs open! Thanks to a generous 2GB of RAM!
If you need a phone but cannot afford the $199 for the HTC One or S4, this cannot be beat! The benchmarks shows it beats out the S3 in every way and its $50 cheaper! Its just beautiful and fast!
I know this phone isn't the newest, but with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and a Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU, 2GB of RAM with a 4.7" 720P HD screen (321pp) you will never know this isn't the best on the market and neither will anyone else around you.
LG has made Android a much better experience than Samsung (I personally hate Touch Wiz.) I was planning to Root this phone with Cyanogenmod but after I played with the LG Jelly Bean experience I changed my mind (Cyanogenmod doesn't have NFC right now.) LG has made Jelly Bean VERY customization (I should note: The out of box Ice Cream Sandwich experience was also excellent but my phone updated to Jelly Bean after about 2 hours)
This phone has a internal 16GB memory but comes with another 16GB MicroSD which was a much welcome addition (I filled my MicroSD with music.) While I have played with the camera and the software is easy to use I don't feel qualify to say much since I don't take alot of pictures but the quality is 8.0MP/1.5MP and my last phone was 5MP so I am sure I will be happy,
My only gripe is: They made the case out of the Gorilla Glass 2, which makes it super durable, but also VERY slippery on furniture (like couch arms.) Also if you have soft hands this phone feels like it will just jump out of your hands like a wet bar of soap (it hasn't yet.) But nothing a good case won't fix.
Get this phone if you dont have $200 for the HTC One or S4! Heck save some money and get this phone anyways!- Age : 25-34

Best Phone Available in February 20135

The phone is perfect in all aspects - build quality, screen quality, resolution, bezel size, camera, call quality. Has all the latest features, except perhaps wireless charging and the secure element in the NFC chip.
This review excludes the software as I switched to Cyanogenmod as soon as got the phone. Cyanogenmod, by the way, makes the phone even better!- Age : 25-34

I am a long time Galaxy SIII user. Got tired of Samsung and decided to explore different options. My choice fell on LG Optimus G. I was considering other devices but so far I am happy with LG.
Great speed and execution. Custom UI is much better than Samsung's .
Camera takes great pics even in low light. I will strongly recommend this product- Age : 35-44

Great phone at a great price5

This phone is one of the best phones on the market. It is super fast, takes great pictures, and is super easy to use. The only negative thing that I can say about it is that the buttons are sometimes sensitive and if you're doing something and have the phone between your head and your shoulder, random buttons start getting pushed, however, for the price of this phone, you cannot beat it. If you're on a budget, this is the best phone you can buy, but even if you're not on a budget, this is definately a phone to consider.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.
