My daughter loves it. We don't let her use it much, but its a big treat for her. We gave it to her Christmas 2012. It started acting up early February, but a power cycle fixed it. Now, on the rare occasion it even turns on, the screen gets lines on it and it crashes.
"Tech support" rep (their hours are ridiculous) sent me an email saying to connect it to their software and hit the "repair" button, then hung up. It crashed 36% of the way through, after almost one hour sitting there. Then the next phone rep sent me another email with instructions on how to reset it, then hung up. The instructions were pointless since it wouldn't work to even get to that step (failed repair earlier). The kicker? The "support" rep closed out the ticket as resolved.
If I could return it, I would. It looks like I'll end up with a replacement. :(1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

My children love this product. All files on this leappad are child friendly. My son quickly learned how to use all applications of this product and uses them daily for hours. Fresh batteries will last about 4 hours of constant use. There are many games for the leappad which are very child friendly. Planning on taking a extensive vehicle trip soon, will see how these keep the children occupied for the duration. :)1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

I was disappointed in this product. With Android tablets becoming more affordable, this item did not prove to be a better kid friendly purchase. It is rugged enough to sustain being dropped and so slow my child would throw it down. App are not free. The ones we were interested in averaged about $7.50 each and there is a whole process to get the app. A tablet only costs a little more and does tons more!
