Posted by: Wildfire from Seattle, WA on 05/05/2013Picked up this monitor as a daily deal, but I'm a bit undecided as to what to do with it. On the one hand, it has all of the features that I had been looking for in a monitor including VESA mounts, an IPS panel, LED backlighting and good looks. On the downside, however, this monitor doesn't exactly blow me away with its out-of-the-box image quality. For example, despite having a higher resolution than my old monitor, this one appears noticeably more grainy. The colors and "depth" of the images also don't seem to be quite as good. That said, I'll probably give it a shot to see if I can fix things up a bit with some image tweaking. The sRGB color mode, for example, seems to fix quite a few of my concerns.

doesnt seem like an ips at all

Posted by: gamer123321 from pa on 04/30/2013Now I'm not gonna just say hey, it worked, no dead pixels, and I set it up easy 5 (worthless walmart review#. I will even set aside response time lag for this monitor 14ms which is more than normal BUT people know that prior to buying so I'll let that slide. However, ANYONE that has owned a legit ips monitor will have a problem with this monitor. Its not the nice rich color, glass panel, and awesome viewing angles you would expect from an ips monitor. I would say this monitor is much much worse than my 2311x hp which is an led tn panel. Panel was matte finished, picture looked grainy. Nothing impressive at all, worse than a couple of TN panels I have used. Ignorance is bliss, those who did not have an ips prior to the monitor don't know better and write you a good review, however I can see why this is the cheapest ips on the market aside from when dell's go on sale for $130 here and there. I am a reasonable person #if I wasn't I'd rip on the response lag that was a known prior to purchase). In being reasonable, even I couldn't keep it for $100, too poor quality for what I was expecting. Dell's entry level ips is miles better than this monitor.

Pictures/Screen is flawless and has nice control buttons with VGA and DVI both supported. For an IPS monitor of this size for Yesterday's Deal of the Day at $99 this was a super bargin compare to others at higher price with cheap base/stand. Lenovo did it right !.
