Great case for preteen/teenagers

The only drawback is the price. It is cheaper than replacing an iPhone before the end of our 2 year contract.

Solid construction, thin, extreme protection

My phone went 6 feet deep in the river last summer, has been thrown under my car from ear height, has been dropped on tile and down stairs. LifeProof keeps my iPhone pristine and intact. Best money you'll ever spend to protect a device, ESP if you are a little clumsy. I am a lot clumsy and literally will not move my iPhone unless it has this cover on it. I have cracked my iPad and wish it'd had a nuud cover on it (LifeProof for iPad).

Unless you are actually going to take it into the shower or a pool with you. But the price was too high for that limited of use.d

Great Idea, Poor Execution

Posted by: JGrizz from Hawkinsville, GA on 12/27/2012Buying a high quality case is a great insurance policy for an expensive and vital piece of equipment in our daily lives. I've tried several cases for my iPhones (Griffin, Otterbox, etc). Once I looked through the specs for the lifeproof cases it appeared to be the next step in the phone case evolution. Not longer did buyer have to suffer bulky, overly weighted materials to keep their phone safe from the elements. LifeProof even went a step further to make their case waterproof; and, at not too much of a price hike. I was excited to purchase the case.
Once I had the phone properly in the case I enjoyed that it did not feel heavier or bulkier. I had a great fit and was not a pain to get in and out of pockets like other phone cases. My greatest concern was that the plastic screen cover (built into the case) did not feel durable at all. It was much more rigid than in other cases. It also did not do well while texting. There seemed to be a gap between the screen itself and the plastic cover which made it difficult to properly maneuver the touch screen. Since this was going to be used primarily by my wife ... it could be nothing short of perfect (very demanding).
I began to carefully remove the case from phone when the plastic backing cracked. I was not forcefully removing the phone. It just seemed to split. This is an assumption, but it the case would so easily crack when simply removing your phone how well would it hold up to an actual fall?
Luckily, I was able to return it for a more trusted iPhone case.

Great overall use

I wrote Lifeproof a letter and requested that they make teal color too for personal reasons and they are coming out with one soon!!! Kudos to Lifeproof and thank you very much!!!!
