As a family of six with 4 kids under the age of 12, I can testify that these remotes are very usable and durable. We run the home theater, XBox, Bose, DVD, TV, and AT&T U-verse with this remote. Our first one was the Harmony One...the predecessor to the Harmony 900...it lasted several abusive years of toddler torment, and a move across the country! The 900 is very easy to set up, using the USB cable attached to my laptop, simply entering all of my devices' manufacturer names & model numbers, the software does the rest. Price is great, because I know how long they last! I would suggest this remote to anyone who loves user-friendly and family-friendly electronic devices...my 3 year old knows how to work it!

Posted by: JCme from Scottsdale, AZ on 05/28/2013I was happy with the first Harmony 900 I had been using for two years; however, I dropped it on a tile floor several times, and the last drop did it in; my fault, So I purchased another Harmony 900. This one has a battery problem, I think, that the first one didn't have. But I still like all the features.

Searching the harmony900, although the old row corresponds to all my expectations. I can connect and control my Denon AVR-789 with LG LM8600, PS3, DVD, MediaCenter smoothly.
I can not understand how Logitech is leaving to manufacture such an item, switching to another model from another manufacturer.

Good once set up

The bottom of the remote casing where the battery goes easily slips off. Getting it set up wasn't that easy with all the firewalls of a MAC. Tried using the troubleshoots on the Logitech website, but none seemed to work. Contacted support and they walked me through an easier way.

Perfect Harmony

Posted by: ROYALTY77 from Atlanta, GA on 05/02/2013As I was upgrading my My Man Cave with components such as: Samsung , Yamaha Aventage, PS3, Martin Logan, Monster HD Power Center and Monster High speed HDMI cables and connections I needed a Universal Remote to do the job. I chose the Logitech Harmony Universal Remote, based on a Solid Reputation, and prior ownership. The Harmony 900 was easy to setup using my Laptop to download the provided Logitech Software, and simply entering my connected devices online. Harmony’s guided setup will walk you through the process step by step, and activity settings to make the setup process even easier. The most useful feature is the Smart State technology, which remembers your devices’ power and input settings and automatically adjusts them based on what you want to do and the features and functions can be edited at any time based on what buttons you use most. The initial setup took about 15 minutes, but after about an hour of tweaking the activities and adding my favorite Xfinity Network icons to the Customizable Touch screen I finally setup my entire system and was ready for action. The Harmony 900 makes a great addition to any Mid to High-end Home Theater System.
