Posted by: from Philadelphia, PA on 04/03/2013I used this product every time I used my laptop. It's great. It makes no noise at all. You really have to be paying attention to it to hear it. It does help keep your laptop cool. I noticed the difference soon after using it. However after a while I got a power surge error from my USB. It no longer works but that USB port still remains working. I am going to get another.

Worked for a few months

Posted by: Roxy193 from PA on 04/21/2012I bought this awhile ago to help keep my computer cool. It worked fine for a few months, it was quiet and my laptop fit nicely on top of it. One thing I didn't like was that the 'grips' weren't that grippy and my laptop would slide off of it every now and then if I was sitting wrong. After a few months I went to blow some dust out of it with a can of air and after I plugged it back into my computer, it was making odd noises and wasn't working as 'strong' as it did before. A few days went by and it stopped working all together. What was odd was that I could plug it into my PS3's USB port and it turned on fine...but plugging it into my computer's USB port....I got nothing. So it's been sitting here unused...and money wasted. Next time I'll ask around and find one that's going to last more than a few months....

THERE ARE THE NONESLIP POINTS FOR PREVENTING THE LAPTOP MOVEMENT. WHAT'S NOT SO GREAT --- HAS NO FAN SWITCH AND CAN RUN DOWN THE LAPTOP BATTERY IF NO POWER ADAPTER CONNECTED AND COMPUTER IS IN SLEEP MODE (IN MY PC USB PORT STILL UNDER POWER).

Great at keeping laptop cool

The only drawback is the thickness of the cooling pad when trying to transport. It takes up more space in the laptop bag than the laptop.

It does not cool the spots where my laptop gets the warmest. After a few weeks now, the fan has started making noise. So I am not happy at all. I regret this purchase.

Posted by: Rae508 from Portland, OR on 08/10/2011This a great idea to keep your computer cool and your lap cool at the same time with this plug in fan, but it's a pain to use because it has no gripping quality at all and slides away under my computer and slides off my lap. Trying to force myself to use it for longer life of my computer and to keep the electronics off my legs. Wish I'd bought a plain old padded lap table!

Posted by: lolitalia from on 07/08/2011Got this thing a few months ago. First off the fan is in the middle! Most laptop fans are on the side so it doesn't mach up to well. I had to keep moving my computer over to mach up with the fan.
Second off iv had this thing about 6month and it all ready stopped working.
30$ for something that's not going to last a year kind of expensive.
Do not buy this, Unless you want to replace it every 6months

Unless I place my laptop so that its own fans are hanging off of the cooling pad, it won't get cooler--an action I can accomplish simply by holding it in the air instead. If any long hairs get stuck in the fan, it refuses to continue to work, and due to the design of this cooling pad, it's nearly impossible to remove, even with tweezers. I'm currently shopping for a new cooling pad because this one does not do anything for me.
