If you've ever heard of aftermarket parts for the automotive industry, well then Logitech would be the aftermarket parts supplier for the electronics industry. This little speaker system is a perfect example of that! If you need to charge up the sound from your wireless blue tooth mobile device, you will love this little boombox. I think the name though, "boombox" might be a little off, but if you want a small portable speaker system that sounds great, this is the speaker to get! It does sound great with clear highs, very good mid range and the sound is room filling from a low end bass standpoint. But you will not get that thumping low end sound from these speakers. Great overall sound for a Iphone boom box4

I just bought this little boom box so I could play music in my bedroom, but also wanted a portable box to use in the bathroom while I was in the shower.
I went to Best Buy and checked out the other systems. This one had the best sound, very clear and strong for such a small unit.
I needed one that had bluetooth capability since my Iphone 4s was in a protective case that many docking stations won't fit. I was concerned about the blue tooth quality of sound and reception.
I got it home and easily connected it to my Iphone. Within minutes, I was moving it all around my condo to see if the reception was clear. Sounded perfect throughout my 830 square foot condo. I did notice a slight volume decrease when you unplug it, but that is fine. Great little portable boom box with clear, crisp sound.
I do wish they had a remote but the sound on the Iphone works to increase and decrease the noise as long as it is close to you. Also, would like to have a few options on the unit itself for altering the sound, but mainly it is a channel for the sound from your Iphone/Ipad so whatever equalizer or level of sound you have your device set for flows perfectly through the boom box.

I had an older non bluetooth version of this "boombox" which lasted for years and held up well before its sudden demise. This replacement is just as good with sound from a relatively small package. Great for outside use when doing spring cleanups1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

I love that I can use this device without hooking up my iPad, iPod, etc and can do it without wires. It is great out by the pool where I can leave my iPad inside and still play my music on the patio. GREAT PRODUCT!!1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

Setting around the house this just amazes me how great and loud it gets. perfect for at the pool or beach to let everyone listen to the tunes! I can use my Samsung Epic 4g Touch (Galaxy S II), Asus transformer tablet or my HP dm4 laptop with bluetooth and my zune with the cord. Battery life is also just as great as the distance I can be away from the unit! Highly reccomend this to another customer! I used my Reward Zone and Shopkick points to pay for this and I would have payed full price cash if I had to do it again!1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

This set of speakers has great sound, especially for a bluetooth boombox! I can be downstairs with my iPod and still adjust the change the tracks and hear the sound clearly! It has a built-in rechargeable battery so i don't have to carry batteries around. I sometimes use it as an amp by playing my guitar through my iPod by using the iRig guitar adapter plugged into the aux jack, it sounds great! I'd definitely recommend the 2 yr Protection Plan to replace the system when the built in battery goes out and just in case the speaker goes out if you like to blast it loud like I do! ;)
P.S.
The only reason I gave the battery 4 stars instead of 5 is because compared to it's non-bluetooth predecessor, it has 6 hours of battery life max compared to 8 hours max.3 out of 3 found this review helpful.

I had concerns that the volume level might be underpowered, since I use iTunes songs that I had "equalized" the volume recording levels of. Previous pc speakers made it difficult to play the iTunes song very loud, because of this. The Boombox has fixed that previous volume level problem. I use the speakers in my office when listening to streaming audio. Works great, much better sound than PC speakers or the cheap external PC speakers. And, one less wire to have to mess with. It is easy to carry around, and sounds great. I am currently using it with a Classic iPod via a cord. I will eventually use it for my iPad 2. I do think the other boombox that Logitech makes that looks just like this one but is not Bluetooth sounds louder and has more base. Not sure if it is because of the iPod Touch that was playing on it or something else.3 out of 4 found this review helpful.

Great sound, on par with the Bose. I have listened to many and even without the value, this one is hard to beat. Bluetooth connection is also great. We use in home and always plugged in. Got mine on sale for $100 which makes this even better.2 out of 2 found this review helpful.

First off, I looked at other bluetooth wireless speakers out there, including the Bose SoundLink which is supposedly the top notch model for wireless devices out there. While I think the Bose SL is a great product and the sound quality is great, the money that Bose is asking for that device is obscene.
This Logitech Wireless Boombox was recently on sale at Best Buy for $100, so I figured I'd pick it up and give it a try, and I am impressed.
The sound quality is great overall. Most music sounds really great on this device, but the issue is, if the music gets too busy, with singing, and instruments in the background, especially if there is a lot of mid-range sound, then the Logitech becomes overwhelmed - and does not optimize the sound as well when things get too busy. On the other hand, if you are listening to orchestra / symphonies or instrumental pieces, it sounds great, and doesn't seem to get as overwhelmed. I would say the weak spot of this device is the midrange area, and while it doesn't have really strong bass, it actually does produce music in the bass range impressively well.
People have to realize that if you want a device that is smaller and more portable, you sacrifice on sound quality and you lose detail in the music in some areas. If you want larger sound, and more detail, you buy a bigger device with a subwoofer, or something that has larger drivers and that has better speaker separation.
Some people out here post reviews of this Logitech, complaining that it lacks bass, or does not have room filling sound. If you're comparing this to a speaker system with a subwoofer, or a Bose SoundDock 10, then, DUH! Of course the Logitech is not going to sound as good. But again, for its size this Logitech definitely produces amazing sound, and the fact that this device is half the price of the Bose Soundlink is the icing on the cake.
You have to ask yourself are you more interested in portability and a rechargeable batter, or are you more interested in spending more money and hauling around a larger device that may not have the advantage of being so portable? For example, last year I bought the Altec Lansing IMT 810 from Best Buy, and, yes, it's big, and clunky, and does not have a rechargeable battery, and it's awkward to tow around the house, but the quality and detail of music that the Altec device produces is truly incredible, and you can crank it loud and there is no distortion.
So all the good points on this Logitech Boombox:
1. Connects easily. I was able to connect it to my Ipod, Ipad, and MacBookPro via Bluetooth with no issue
2. Very portable, no, it's not as small as other devices, but small enough to tow around easily
3. I didn't really notice any difference in sound from the bluetooth to having music connected directly with the Auxiliary Jack, so the bluetooth on this replicates the music very well
Okay, and the not so good points about this Wireless Boombox:
1. When you have it running on battery power, the sound quality is not as good, and it does lose some bass. Still sounds pretty good, but just not as good as it should.
2. Wish it had a carrying handle on it.
I'd easily recommend the Logitech Boombox. If you're someone who likes a lot of thumping bass, this is probably not for you, but if you want something reasonably priced, that is wireless, and also replicates music very well compared to a plugged-in connection, and that sounds clear, and has pretty good detail, then I would tell you to give it a try.6 out of 6 found this review helpful.
