    Amazing Soundbar
    5
Posted by: from Spokane, WA on 02/20/2013This soundbar is great! The sound that comes from it is unbelievable. The sound is extremely powerful, yet crisp and clear. This soundbar greatly improves my ability to watch TV/movies by increasing the quality of the audio. It has strong bass on it's own by I do use a Dynamo 1000W connected with it. Also, it was very easy and simple to set-up for anybody to use (even if you are not an audiophile). Bottomline, this soundbar is may seem expensive, but it is well worth the extra money to get the best sound quality.

Posted by: from Floyds Knobs, IN on 01/25/2013I have thoroughly enjoyed my new sound bar...it has changed the dynamics of everything played through my television. I have AppleTV connected as well, and the music quality is second to none for a minimalist type product.

Posted by: from Illinois on 01/15/2013This soundbar truly is a work of art. I am impressed by the remarkable level of accuracy and clarity. It is powerful and easy to set up. I have been listening to music and watching movies. I recommend the MartinLogan subwoofer dynamo series to go with this product.

I like the all-in-one aspect of this product

Posted by: from Minocqua,WI on 12/14/2012This speaker fit my needs perfectly (I needed 2 optical sound inputs which many competitors do not have). I did not want to clutter my living room with 6 or 7 speakers scattered about. So far I've only listened to stereo input from my TV sets. The quality of sound is fine. I wouldn't say, however, "wow, this is really great!" I tried the sound bar w/out the sub-woofer and the bass is acceptable, but I decided to enhance the sound by ordering a wireless sub-woofer (not installed yet). I'm anxious to hook up my blue-ray player to the system and see how the performance is with 5.1 surround sound as an input.

    Fabulous sound reproduction

Posted by: from Cape Cod, MA on 12/09/2012I have very sensitive hearing and can't deal with much volume if there is any noticeable distortion. The Martinlogan sound bar is clear as a bell with both treble and base at high volume and makes the entire home theater experience far more realistic. Also, I have a large great room combining both living and dining rooms with cathedral ceilings, but the sound bar removes the impossible conundrum of speaker placement in a huge open space.. Love it, love it, love it.

    Best soundbar that I auditioned
    5
Posted by: from Chesterfield, Michigan on 11/26/2012I bought this for $1199 on sale at Best Buy. I had been watching and reading all positive reviews for a couple of months so when it went on sale I immediately purchased online. Bose sounded good until a direct comparison verified this is a much cleaner/clearer sound ,which also sounds fantastic on CD's. I loved the fact that no receiver or extra subwoofer is needed with the volume capable going very loud all the way to 100. ( We usually watch movies at a 45-50 level and TV at 30 or so.) I am replacing a very expensive 5.1 Polk/Harmon Kardon setup and I am thrilled with the sound of the ML Vision. The sound is amazing but does not project itself as to behind the listener as a true 5.1 system will do but will deliver clear dialogue and crisp stereo separation.

    True audiophile sound.

Posted by: from Ft. Lauderdale on 11/11/2012My new 60" plasma has an excellent display but predictably poor audio from its built-in speakers. For serious listening and blu-ray watching, I use my home theater system which includes Martin Logan SL3s, a Logos center channel, and Vignettes for surrounds but for normal TV watching I need a sound bar that won't offend my all too sophisticated ears and one that turns on and off with the TV and cable box so my wife can enjoy the TV when I'm not home. The Motion Vision is the sixth sound bar in just a few months that I have had in my system. Several factors separate it from the others I've auditioned, three of these sound bars included wireless subwoofers...they had some ill defined bass which seemed distant from thin sound emanating from the bars. The large flat wooden Zvox was highly touted by home theater and audiophile mags, it was my biggest disappointment. The Vision is a 5.1 sound bar...it has a dedicated center speaker which separates the dialog from the background and soundtrack making the voices much easier to understand. Though this is a single piece design, there is considerable punch and definition in the bass and very smooth response all the way up the range. The Folded Motion tweeters aid in giving the Vision finesse in the higher frequencies...that characteristic Martin Logan airy and box-less sound that I enjoy from my electrostatics. As the individual components in the Vision break in with time, it sounds better and better.

    ML Vision vs Bose Soundbar
    4
Posted by: from 77058 on 09/11/2012Pros: 1)Sound is clean and full. 2)Remote is small and simple Cons: 1)Its very heavy (20 pounds?). I wish they separated the sub from the bar but some people may like that aspect. Separating the subs may have also allowed for a more elegant design (like Bose) 2)Design is clunky and unattractive 3)Sound doesn't bounce off walls the way they do with the Bose soundbar. 4)Do not expect anything close to 5.1 surround. Perhaps 3.1 at best. Explanation: I purchased this soundbar with high expectations. The sound quality from this bar was excellent. Voices were clear and music was crisp. It has sufficient bass for me. I decided to return the MartinLogan for a Bose because I heard Bose in the store and it sounded amazing. Once I setup the Bose I was impressed with its ability to throw sounds at you from all directions, but it was a very empty sound. It didnt have the entire depth and range as the MartinLogan. I now understand why people say "to the untrained ear" about Bose. In other words, had I NOT tried the MartinLogan Vision, I would the Bose Soundbar was awesome. --Long story short, I returned the MartinLogan because I desired at least 3.1 surround sound. --I returned the Bose SR1 because I want clean, full sound I am going to go with a true 5.1 solution. Still TBD.

    Amazing sound bar

Posted by: from Ohio on 08/10/2012The guy at Best Buy talked me into listening to this unit after I was considering the same priced Bose sound bar. I'm glad he did because this is much better. It does not come with a sub woofer so I was a skeptical. Turns out, it has better range than the Bose with even its acustamast woofer. I wish all the stores stocked it, but only Magnolia stores carry it in store while stores without magnolia can order it. It took 4 days for it to come in. Worth the wait and worth the money!
