Wish I didn't buy this mouse

Posted by: from Colorado Springs on 03/23/2012I really like the design and compatibility with my Win 7 PC, but using this mouse is aggravating. The screen pointer shifts around at random and the mouse actually crashed a few days ago. Changed batteries without seeing an improvement. The reason I thought to write a review was that I came to Bestbuy.com to find replacement. The best thing about buying this mouse was the price match Bestbuy did against Staples; bought this mouse for $25

Doesn't scroll well!

Posted by: from San Marcos, CA. on 03/17/2012Not a huge fan of this type of mouse. It has a sleek design but the thing I use most is the wheel, and this one doesn't scroll properly, so I am forced to use the slide on the side of th page!

Posted by: from on 03/17/2012Um yeah....I got this mouse free with my laptop, I've had it for about a month and a half, and it was really cool at first, but now, it's just kinda annoying. The one only BIG problem with it is that after a couple (2) hours of using it the touch wheel wont work and you have to turn it off, an then back on again...yeah it doesn't sound like a huge problem, but when your like maybe playing a game and your sitting there shooting at some guys and BAM, you run out of ammo, so you use the scroll wheel to get to your next gun or whatever...but then you cant and you die...yeah kinda sounds whiny I know, but when your in the situation it's really annoying, or even when your surfing the web and it stops working, I've had that happen too, or doing some graphic design, it doesn't really matter what your doing. I don't know, I would have expected if from like maybe a $10 mouse, but this one is like $50, I can't see ANYONE paying that for a mouse that expensive in general with so little features (it's quite basic), let alone one that doesn't work properly, but once again i got mine free, and I wouldn't have never paid for one on my own. (Oh and for the record, the rest of the mouse is fine, just the touch wheel sucks.) There are features I like about the touch wheel though (when it's working) when you do scroll the mouse vibrates, almost simulating when a wheel would click as you scroll on a traditional mouse. If you like run your finger over it fast it will like send the page flying (if you want to get to the bottom fast) kind of like when you swipe your finger fast on a list on a touch screen device, an it will gradually slow down after a couple seconds if it doesn't hit the bottom of the page first. I like the feature a lot, it's something a traditional mouse doesn't have, and when you do surf large pages on the web its really nice, but also if your a gamer, and you have functions set to the scroll wheel, it does tend to go through them REALLY fast if you scroll to fast (I had that problem with minecraft when I first got the mouse.) All in all, it's an okay mouse, I don't think it's worth the price, and I don't think anyone should pay that for it....that's just crazy, $50 is WAY to much, it's suppose to have 5 buttons (3 on the touch wheel, but I can only get one click to work (suppose to be like top, middle, bottom when you actually click down on it)) but I can only get 3 to work (left, right, and one scroll wheel function) I was kinda hoping it would to the side scroll like a mac mouse, but it doesn't. Yeah...don't PAY for it, unless it's like on a sale, because it's really not that awesome, yeah it has it's novelty at first like everything, but then you just use it like always and that novelty goes away and then it likes to stop working...still really frustrating when I'm gaming, but yeah, I just hope they lower the price, because it is WAY to expense for a pretty basic mouse. (When I say basic, I don't mean cheap, I mean not a lot of functions, just a very standard 3 button mouse.) But I guess my final review is that it's okay, not awesome, not total junk.
