Microsoft Office University 2010 - Windows (24 out of 25)
University edition does what you need

Posted by: from Midwest on 02/17/2013Why I bought M$ Office: I bought M$ Office University edition because I am a graduate student. For my own purposes, "Open Office" or "Libre Office" - both of which are available for FREE download - work fine. But especially for doing PowerPoint presentations that need to be submitted to professors, to avoid file format and compatibility issues, I got M$ Office. The freeware stuff I just mentioned continues to suffer some compatibility problems when doing PowerPoint presentations or Spreadsheets. Pros: File format compatibility with other Office users, some support from Microsoft. Cons: It's a Microsoft product - I have long had serious issues with the way Microsoft does business. This is why for my own in-house work and for running a small, home-based business, I use LINUX, Open Office, and save work to PDF files if it is to be sent outside. But constraints of the University environment have forced me to use M$ Office in a Mac or Windows environment. "Ribbon" interface - those who have used Microsoft Windows 7 and newer versions of Office have seen the so-called "ribbon" interface. This rather counter-intuitive interface is a departure from the menu structure that users of prior versions of Windows, Mac-OS, and LINUX have come to expect over the past 15-20 years. This new interface has changed a number of one-mouse-click operations such that they now require several mouse-clicks to get the same work done. Spell check and other important editing functions are now buried so one has to hunt for them. As is typical for Microsoft, they have taken a relatively intuitive, easy to use product and complicated it in the name of change for change's sake. Conclusion: All this said, the software works well enough for the most part. Once one learns the ins and outs of using it, it does the job. I recommend it for the sole reason that at least your work should be readable and compatible with most other people's systems in a work or school environment.

Posted by: from Anchorage, AK on 12/07/2012I am happy with the product. But not happy with the fact the web page was having issues and when I asked about it and the prices on the web page said 99.99 in store but it was 104.99. The cashier told me yeah sometime ads to catch up with the web page and because of shipping costs stuff cost more and was told from the other cashier next to us that management does little to anything to fix or price match off the web page. If I didn't need it for school in a hurry I would of not gotten it and ordered offline from another store.
