Most headphones tend to be better at some things than others. For example, Beats headphones tend to focus on power, volume and bass where other brands, like Bose, focus on clarity and cancellation of sound. These inspirations, in my opinion, have found a fantastic compromise that gives a tremendous amount of focus to many areas. The bass is rich and punchy without covering the middle and high voices of music. The sound is also very clear, with every note, lyric and instrumental being fairly represented. The cancellation, while hardly noticeable while there is no music playing, is decent once you put on a track, enough so that you will need to remove the headphones to hear people talking in the same room. The music played through these headphones isn't altered in any way, and tracks are heard as artists and editors intended them to be without enhancement of bass or trebles. Music comes across as clean, and the headphones are comfortable and clear enough to give a sense that you are in attendance of the music you are listening to. It is very lifelike.
My only complaint would be that they get pretty warm on your ears after a while, not because of the headphones but just because of trapped body heat. Otherwise, like I said, these are the best headphones I have ever owned or listened to, and I work in the headphone section of a Best Buy in Dallas.

Good Clean Sound Range

Posted by: studiogeek from Carlsbad,NM on 02/10/2013When I took them out of the box and plugged them in I was totally disappointed. They were all bass, no midrange or highs. I boxed them back up and was going to return them. The store was 160 miles away so they sat in the box for another two weeks. I decided to break them in and give them another try. Without listening again I plugged them in and pumped music through them for about 24 hrs. When I put them on again I was amazed. Now they sounded like headphones should sound. I am using them in a home recording studio. I missed out on two weeks of awesome sound if I would have just broke them in to start with. I use them for hours with no discomfort. Although not totally the noise canceling works good also. The cord is only about 3 feet long. Not good for studio had to buy longer cord. Would be nice if they included longer cord with volume control like some other brands. Overall nice headphones with awesome sound. You wont be disappointed.

The investment was the right choice. The bass on these headphones are really good. Especially listening to hip-hop or house music..
The headphones sounds are detail and clear. As for the noise cancellation, I feel Bose noise cancellation has the slighter edge.
The comfort level of this headphones can be heavy but the squarish design snugs the ears. Also, you get 4 other interchangeable headbands, the control talk for your cell phone, and the headphones are foldable which is a huge plus when it come to traveling. The material is really nice, durable, and stylish.
Overall, I wished the headphones weren't so expensive.

Awesome Headphones - "Bi-Winning!!!"

If you've been to a concert in the last sixty years or so and want that experience without sacrificing sound quality or hearing distortion, then these are the headphones for you. Monster hit this baby out of the park with second generation ANC! Vivid range, extreme clarity, and dynamic perspectives of sound are delivered in both passive isolation and active noise cancellation modes with my Inspirations. Close your eyes in store when you go to try these and find pure solitude. I use my headphones for flying across the country, watching my action shows/flicks, conference calls, and PC gaming on the go. (FYI - after 4 weeks, I'm on the same charge with my AAA batteries - over 40 hours)... Added bonus with my purchase at Best Buy, extra magnetic color headbands to customize already included in the box which saved me even more! Their tag says "Super Sonic"... Best Noise Cancelling ever!

Other noise cancelling headphones are boring and out of date. These are next generation everything. Sound quality is unmatched, even by higher end luxury headphones. I can hear the artist breath between verses, WOW!
The noise cancelling is futuristic! When you turn it on not only is it amplified but the word disappears, I cant even hear myself speak much less anyone else. I also love that when my batteries die I can turn the amp/ANC off and keep listening to my headphones. no more dead batteries on a long flight ruining my movies. I also like the fact that when I am on a plane, the person sitting next to me cannot hear what I am listening to, I can rock out and stay respectful to those around me.
Thank You Monster for making these headphones, I am a customer for life.

Great headphones for everyone

Posted by: Villagers from Boston, MA on 12/01/2012I bought both these and a pair of beats studio to compare the sound. These feel a lot more durable than the beats and the sound is great quality. I have not had any interference with these headphones. They are comfortable and easy to carry around.
I would 100% recommend these over the beats studio for only $50 more.

I had been searching for a balance between bass, noise isolation, and style. This fits perfectly. My previous pairs of headphones were the Beat Studios and Bose Quiet Comfort 15. They were good but not what I was looking for. After a long time of wear they start to feel heavy is the only drawback.
