    Not any better than Arris
    3
Posted by: from Raleigh, NC on 05/15/2013I bought this to replace the Arris modem supplied by Time Warner Cable for their Extreme internet service. The Arris signal was disappointing at best. I read good things about the range on this. SO NOT TRUE. The range is exactly the same. Waste of my time.

Posted by: from Vancouver WA on 05/13/2013Just like any router, you will likely need to login into the device to complete set-up for wireless/security/network

Problems at first, but excellent now

Posted by: from Idaho Falls, ID on 05/12/2013I was very close to returning it because like other reviews have said it frequently dropped signal. Drove me nuts! I was constantly restarting it in hopes to get it working again but it was super inconsistent. But I called up my cable company to take a look at everything before I did so. He tightened up some loose connections in the companies equipment on my building and I haven't had a dropped signal since. I love the fact that it is a modem and a router.

Great connection - meets our needs

Posted by: from iowa on 05/11/2013We've had this for about a month. Needed something fast for getting movies and tv shows, but also wanted a wireless router included so we didn't have so many devices. This fit the bill. Decent price - I hope it lasts for years now.

Posted by: from Fontana, Ca on 05/11/2013My router works well for our 4000sq home. I wasn't sure if it would be strong throughout our home, but it is. It's not even centrally located & it works well.

Posted by: from Cape Cod, MA on 05/10/2013Had to return item for separate modem and router. Had an older version of this item, and it performed great with no issues for 2 years. Would recommend but not if you have Comcast.

    Great camera for video chatting!!
    5
Posted by: from Virginia Beach, VA on 05/10/2013The camera was more difficult to unbox than it is to use. Very good plug n play set up. The software has a lot of nice little features that make it fun to experiment with to learn about the camera - for adults. For kids, these same little features could pack hours of fun making special pics and vids for family and friends. I really like using my cam for video chatting the most. The video and audio are crystal clear. I have my cam hooked into an ancient laptop and it still operates at an extremely high quality! And... it's so easy to use, my 85 year old mother Skypes with her grand kids on it almost every day. (And she still asks which key is the enter key...)

Easy set-up, DOCSIS 3.0 is about 20% faster
    5
Posted by: from A stately pleasure dome on 05/10/2013Took about 10 minutes total set-up time; that's including taking down the old system, opening the box and all of it. The time consuming part is telling all your various devices where they should go . . . some are simple (Android phones) some are sort of a pain (looking at you Roku). If you figure to get your one or two vital items setup up, you'll have it done in minutes. Also, this is a modem and router combined, so you might save a smidgen of shelf space in your own stately pleasure dome, as I did here in Xanadu.
