Great for us Rush fans!

Posted by: from Dayton, OH on 04/06/2011You'd better buy some replacement speakers too, because you WILL be playing this one loud... The sound quality is so much better than the original release, I did a side by side comparison and really could hear subtle highs missing in the original.

Hear it again for the first time!

Posted by: from Milford, MA on 04/06/2011This is the 4th time I've bought Moving Pictures (vinyl, CD, Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs Remastered CD, and now 5.1 Surround Mix). The new mix is very comparable to the MFSL re-issue in it's warmth and crispness. The surround mix however uncovers hidden gems buried in the stereo mix. The opening of "The Camera Eye" sounds like a completely new song! The base line in "Vital Signs" bobs and weaves throughout the sound field, as do the tom toms in Witch Hunt. Otherwise, it's a fairly subtle, gimmick free mix. Each instrument gets a little more room to breathe and you truly feel as if you were in Le Studio when the tracks were being cut. Needless to say, if you have a surround set up and you like Rush, it's a must have!
