Posted by: p199 from Toledo, OH on 05/11/2013Used traditional caraffe coffee makers for several years. Skeptical, but tried this different design. had it for 2 months and like it a lot. a little bulky adding the water in, but I like the way coffee gets dispensed.

Posted by: nothappycoffeeman from South Bend, IN on 03/10/2013I've only had this coffee maker for a month and now coffee grids are in the coffee and isn't letting the water drain through the filter and grinds. Not pleased at all.

Works BUT...

Posted by: itsnotwhatyousaiditshowyo from florida on 01/05/2013Too many steps to make coffee. I didnt know before buying that I would have to start my day disassembling and assembling a slew of parts of pieces all dripping with condensation and debris. WAY too much work compared to a conventional maker. Then when the "reward" is ready you have to hold in the button to pour that makes a horridly annoying buzz/hum when dispensing the coffee, dont want to hear that at 7am nor does the rest of my house. Finally, we cant get clear, only cloudy, coffee from it, although that may be from the reusable filter - which is also a gross thing to have to deal with in the early morning assembly. Finally, you have no idea what if any coffee is in the till and so easy to forget for days while it rots and molds until you are back in town. BAD CHOICE, dont buy.

Posted by: markj418 from Delaware on 12/16/2012When I made my first pot of coffee could not get it to disperse the first cup of coffee. I read the trouble shooting guide still didnot work. I got frustrated got ready to take it back. Waited reset system and now it works. I will give it a few more days. If I have any other issues I will go back ang get another Hamilton Beach. Had one of those for years noproblems like this.

I've owned it for about a year, now.

Posted by: SkiBrain from Killington, VT on 12/14/2012I originally had the Hamilton dispenser. That was great. it died and was hard to clean. Got this one for half the price. At first I was disappointed with it, because it was much different than the Hamilton. Then, I got used to it. Easy to load and empty, makes a little noise when dispensing, but not more than a hum. Brews fast and shuts off after 2 hours, I dont want coffee on longer than that. I had the hamilton shut off after 1 hour. Easy to clean, I already cleaned it twice (in one year, not bad. Just brewed some vinegar) After a year, it owes me nothing. I would get another. I set the coffee for my wife to have every morning, then I get up and make my 4 cups. it gets a lot of use. just read directions and keep it clean. One table spoon of coffee for each 2 cups of coffee. Maybe some of the reviewers got lemons. I sure didn't

Good coffee maker

Posted by: pearl12 from St Louis, MO on 11/09/2012the coffee dispenser feature is great, but emptying the coffee compartment is difficult to do without making a mess. The lower compartment pulls out but once you take off the lid to empty the leftover coffee, there is no way of setting the lid down without making a mess. This lid is unevenly shaped and the steam and old coffee make a mess when it drips from the lid onto the counter. I have to put the lid in the sink when rising out the container. Not a user friendly feature of this coffee maker.

Posted by: bbcustomer112 from lafayette, la on 11/09/2012Not only did it brew COLD coffee, when coffee was dispensed, the machine made a very loud, dinosaur-like sound! Luckily, I was able to get a refund... NO MORE Mr. Coffee pots for me, ever

First Impression is a Good One

Posted by: GarminFan1 from Owings Mills, MD on 11/09/2012I've only had this maker one day, but so far, I like it. It's unconventional so you can't expect it to be as easy as the standard pot brew coffee maker...until you get used to it. Reservoir is easy to fill if you use your sink hose instead of pulling out the reservoir, filling it, and pouring it into the back. Brewing is easy and takes about 15 minutes for a 12 cup "pot". Dispensing is easy too, but I could do without the hum of the pump. The audible alert when finished and when auto turning off is okay. Easy to setup, easy to use. So far so good.
