My Boys: Douchebag in the City

    I LOVE MY BOYS!!!

Posted by: from Queens, NY on 08/01/2008I had to visit a few different Best Buys before I finally found the My Boys DVD. It was selling out like hot -cakes! I love the fact that they are showing a different perspective on how men and women interact. This show reminds me of one of my friends and how things are with "her boys", except for the playing poker every week lol I am that one close girlfriend in the friendship as well. There is a characteristic that you can find in each guy that you have seen in real life. I can relate to PJ, because I love sports, especially Baseball. I also love that PJ is a sportswriter in a male dominated field. It's really inspiring and gives you a great insight on her thoughts and daily life. I can definitely be girly, but don't get me wrong, just hanging out with the guys to watch a game and having a beer is right up there with me too! I love all the episodes, but love the Brendan and Bobby storylines with PJ. Who hasn't had some similar experiences with that? Jim Gaffigan and Jaime Kaler are hysterical comedians. They don't "try too hard" to set up a joke. It all comes naturally. The best part of the DVD is the Extras. They are fun, some are baseball related - but you don't have to know baseball to get the jokes. The interviews are light hearted and you can watch them over and over, you feel like you get to know the actors even better. The cast has great chemistry and it shows on screen. Season 2 already has some tricks up their sleeve that is leaving you hanging and screaming at your tv! I wonder what kind of Cliffhanger we will have this year. I can't wait!!!

    My Boys Rocks

Posted by: from Glen Burnie, MD on 07/10/2008I was so elated that I found the 1st season at my local Best Buy. This is wonderful birthday gift to myself. Jordana Spiro is wonderful as the tomboy writer PJ. Her character, PJ is the type of friend you could hang out with. She is the opposite of Carrie Bradshaw of S**And The City. PJ is more real unlike Carrie.l PJ has a natural beauty about herself that is not phony and fake. What is also wonderful about her is that she doesn't really care about being 'too girly'. She really doesn't have to be 'too girly' like her BFF Stephanie. My Boys is the millenium's new Friends. Jim Gaffagin is very funny with his oneliners and sarcastic humor. Thus far, the second season is not up to par as season 1. However, every show that starts out strong will experience it. Hopefully, season two will improve as it goes on. Let's hope season 2 will be on Best Buy's shelves by next summer.

    LOVED it!

Posted by: from New Albany, IN on 05/31/2008I loved this show, too bad I have to order it online though because none of the stores around here have it ;_;. Every episode had something that I could relate to, and at some points I felt as if this WAS me so I really enjoyed it. You wouldn't like it if you don't like sports or guy humor though, yeah there are some girly things inside of it but they come rarely seeing as she's a TOMBOY = ) highly recommend it.
