Posted by: gnittio from macon ga on 10/29/2012Overall it is a pretty good game. One of the main reasons to buy both NCAA football and Madden ( the export draft class feature) has been removed, which now just makes it an average game

Love college football

Posted by: TexasChic from Houston, Tx on 10/22/2012Love college football! I have NCAA 10 and 12 so I decided to by 13. It's pretty great and love the graphics of this game. I'm addicted to the game. The only downside is that it doesn't have all Heisman winners (ie Earl Campbell or Ricky Williams) but other than that the game is great!

Lack of improvement from '12

Posted by: from Omaha, NE on 10/17/2012I love college football, which is why I buy this game. Although previous titles have had their pros and cons, at least you could adjust gameplay with the sliders to make gameplay more realistic. As fans of the NCAA series know, NCAA 12 had problems with the pass coverage. The CPU defenders reacted to the push of the button and not the flight of the ball. In this version (NCAA 13), the developers have fixed this problem, but created new ones. Players controlled by the CPU tend to either overrun or overreact to the coverage, leaving WRs wide open, especially on long patterns. Additionally, pass coverage defenders have no reaction on balls thrown deep. Another aspect of the game I have noticed is that adjusting the sliders does not change gameplay. Whether I set PCV to 0 or 100, the defenders behave the same way. Hard gamers will also notice the deficiencies in offensive run blocking. Most running plays are highly susceptible to blitzing corners and linebackers because the lineman will not block them. The programming automatically designates lineman to block the defensive lineman first, that the second level players are ignored. The constant slipping by WRs when playing in rain or snow is also quite annoying. At times, even though the game is set to All-American, it feels as if you are playing on Heisman. On the Heisman level, CPU players are more perceptive and react better than the players of the user controlled team. The extensive use of the ESPN brand on this game is quite annoying. Graphics did not change significantly from the previous version. For those of you that like to run no-huddle, you will find the long pauses before being able to snap the ball extremely frustrating. The CPU on the other hand can run no-huddle with no problems. On the other hand, recruiting has been improved with the addition of the scouting system. At the time this review was written, the update pack being used was 1.03.

Just like every other year...

Posted by: syncti from Carmel, IN on 10/02/2012I am a huge college football fan. The last time I purchased this series was in 2010. I waited 3 years in hopes that EA Sports would change the difficulty level between Varsity and All-American. Varsity is way too easy to where I blow teams out by 50. All-American is nearly impossible to win. There needs to be some happy medium between the two. This is the last time I will be buying a game from this series until I know that it's fixed.

Another Year of Fantastic Gameplay!

Posted by: MKS2 from on 08/26/2012A few upgrades from NCAA Football 12, but nothing too dramatic. The new Dynasty recruiting features are an improvement. I would have liked to have seen advancements in Road to Glory.

Posted by: JDMT from Bozeman, MT on 08/15/2012Overall it's an awesome version! Tons of options for gameplay. Graphics are so good that my wife, at one point, thought she was watching an actual game on tv! Best version yet, in my opinion.

Same game as NCAA '12

Posted by: tiaradio from Boston, MA on 08/08/2012I'm not sure what's different between this game and NCAA '12. The main change is that you scout recruits as well as call them. I guess that's a tad more interesting, but not really. The interface of how everything is done has changed, but the mechanics are basically the same.

Do not buy until fixed!!!

Posted by: Tjbun from Murray, ky on 07/29/2012If the game was called College FREEZE UP it would earn 10,000 stars!
Too bad because gameplay is fun as always but you cannot play without freezes. Dynasty mode takes the biggest hit as it freezes and cannot be enjoyed. Btw I don't write reviews but felt like I must on this game.
