Synopsis

In this adventure-filled sequel to the 2004 blockbuster National Treasure, Nicolas Cage reprises his role as artifact hunter and archaeologist extraordinaire Ben Franklin Gates. In this outing, Gates learns of his own family's implication in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln by John Wilkes Booth. Gates must then locate an elusive diary, not only to clear his family's name, but to unearth and connect several secrets, buried within the book, that point to a massive, global conspiracy. The film co-stars Jon Voight, Harvey Keitel, and Helen Mirren as Ben's mother. Jerry Bruckheimer returns as producer. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi

National Treasure: Book of Secrets - Widescreen AC3 - DVD (12 out of 13)
The Adventure's Continue!
5
Posted by: from Tarpon Springs, FL on 04/29/2010This movie was alot like the original only the plot was way better and had alot more adventure. Riley was funnier too and the girl was hotter than in the last one. Alot of the stunts like sneaking into the queen's desk and the plot against the President are things that could never happen, of course, but it was exceptable to watch as it added to the excitment of the film. This movie had a better bad guy and the idea of bringing his parents along with him on his adventures was a funny twist. You would have to just see the movie to understand the humor and great excitment of it. Still alot of American history, which is allways a plus, and alot of clean cut humor also a plus making this an A-1 great part 2 type of movie.

Falls Short...
3
Posted by: from Hurst, TX on 05/26/2009"National Treasures Pt. II" falls short in comparsion to the original. It was more chasing around then actual action. Alot of dialogue going on that made it rather boring. Things that happened were unrealistic.

The Book of Secrets

Posted by: from Zionsville, IN on 06/02/2008Have to agree with mostly every review on here. I haven't seem National Treasurer 1 yet, so it probably made this movie a little better, and I'm not a fan of Nicolas Cage, but it was a pretty entertaining flick. Nicolas Cage plays a treasure hunter that is seeking to clear the name of his family by obtaining a piece of Jon Wilks Booth's diary. Good movie to see.
