This game keeps a running tally of every gold coin you've collected across all the levels so you can monitor your progress. Team up with a friend who can play as Luigi in the new two-player mode that allows you to use wireless Internet to tackle the adventure. Play in Coin Rush mode to see how many coins you can collect across three levels, and then challenge your friends to beat your record with StreetPass. No matter how you play, you'll soon be catching gold coin fever and the only cure is to grab your 3DS and play more New Super Mario Bros. 2.

Fun Co-op Mode

It's also a blast to play cooperatively with another person locally. The graphics and music are exactly what you'd expect, though I wish they would have added Yoshi in there somewhere. At least there are plenty of things to collect and unlock.

I thought it was a bit short but I didn't mind because it has another option where you can play random worlds to collect coins. Save your star coins because you're going to need them to open another world.

I am an 80's baby, so Mario is my favorite. The Mario series has gotten so much better. And on the 3DS, it's even better than ever.
