Serious problems with this model S6---

Posted by: from GR Mich on 05/07/2012Bought camera and GS extended warranty in June '11 based on reviews. Used a few weeks then would not charge. Brought to BB and they sent it in, 2 weeks later it came back with same problem. Sent in 2nd and third time and it comes back with same problem. Will not charge nor power on. So they give me a brand new on off shelf, we use it over Christmas and it sits for 2 months, now it has same issue as original camera. We take it back to BB and they exchange it for s6200. We will return the s6200 as we found reviews on web where this camera has same issue. BB has been very supportive, too back these cameras are defective. Will return s6200 for Canon.

Great Camera, but...

Posted by: from VA on 04/03/2012I got my camera for Christmas 2011. I've used it twice, my camera will now not turn on. I'm not too happy about that. I love taking pictures, and this camera is great at it! I'm sending it back to Nikon.

Good for personal use

Posted by: from Justice, Il. on 03/30/2012The camera is easy to use but I was disappointed that it would only take up to 4 pics without a card. Not sure if all cameras are like that now but it was disappointing to me. My old camera took 40-60 pics w/o a card.

Perfect -- Just what I was looking for

Posted by: from Pittsburgh, PA on 03/21/2012I bought this camera a few months ago. Originally, I wanted a DSLR like, but I decided to go with this one because it was a great deal. I am very happy I bought this camera. I use it very often and am excited to bring it on my spring trip this year. It gives you the option of playing around with the features somewhat, yet it can do so much on it's own if you turn it on Auto. It's definitely a great product for anyone who wants to take pictures of probably anything, unless you're someone who needs a DSLR.

Picture Quality Disappoinitment
3
Posted by: from Clover, SC on 03/09/2012I have always admired Nikon and it's products. I have owned them in the past and have always been very pleased! However, with this point and shoot, I was disappointed with the picture quality. It seems that the second the autofocus is done (The picture looks great in the viewer), it slightly looses focus. And after download the pictures to my laptop, it is noticeable that the picture quality is just not there as expected. This could be a result of it being the type of camera it is but was expecting more from the Nikon brand. I also find that the touchscreen is very finicky. It certainly does have a lot of features.
