Posted by: from Lakewood, Co on 05/18/2013It's a great camera(Nikons are always great). The problem is that it is quite complicated. I've have been a photographer ever since I was in the Air Force. I also have a Pentax P-3, which I really like, It's to expensive to use now. I'm having to learn how to operated the Nikon. It's like going to photo school all over. Maybe after some time, I'll learn most of it. I am 66 and got out of the military in 1975 and I try to learn some thing new every day.

    Amazing functionality

Posted by: from Minneapolis on 05/18/2013As a slowly converted 35mm SLR junkie, I am amazed at how far the technology has come. This camera does a ton of tricks in-camera that used to take a dark room to accomplish. Lots to learn, but its fully auto and many almost-auto modes allow me to time to learn while still getting great pics. Glad I finally made the jump.

Great camera for everyday to hobby photography

Posted by: from Charlottesville, VA on 05/17/2013I have an old 35 mm Nikon that I learned during my college years studying photography. I bought a lot of accessories, ie lenses and filters for it so wanted to make sure the digital version can still use those accessories---and it does with a few minor expected limitations. I've always liked Nikon as a brand and this digital camera that I just purchased have met all of my expectations.

    Great camera!

Posted by: from Houston, TX on 05/17/2013We have wanted a nice camera for a while and we were tired of mediocre pictures from a phone. The 24 pixels drew us to the Nikon 3200. We also purchased a 55/300 mm zoom lens. This was such a great buy for us that 2 weeks later we purchased the exact same camera for our son and his family. We are impressed with the quality of our pictures and don't have to brag about our camera...our pictures do it for us.

Posted by: from Peabody, MA on 05/12/2013My pictures come out crystal clear on the automatic focus setting. It's not really your "point and shoot" camera. In other words you need to do your homework to be able to use this camera to its potential.
