Office 365 Home Premium (5 Macs or PCs) (1-Year Subscription) - Mac/Windows (19 out of 31)
Excellent option if you understand it.

Posted by: from Wappingers Falls, NY on 04/02/2013365 is the new thing. It offers the full Office suite with Skype minutes and Skydrive storage. It's good for 5 computers (Mac and PC). So you can install it on multiple computers and access the same files on all the computers with the Skydrive storage. Replacing a computer or need to transfer a license? No problem. You can deactivate a license for any of the computers you have registered and transfer it to a new one. It is $99 a year but it pays off if you have multiple computers. Even if you don't you may want to give a license to a friend or family member or on a business computer. The $99 a year also includes all future versions of Office. So say Office 2015 comes out, instead of paying at least $140 for the base Office for each computer, you get that upgrade for all your computers. Basically, if you have 2+ computers and need office, this is the best option. If you only have one computer then this is probably not the way to go unless you are getting Office Pro($399). In that case, you can go with 365 and pay a little less and won't have to worry about paying more for the next upgrade.

I don't know how to use it amymore

Posted by: from LA, CA on 04/01/2013I get it. They have to do something to find a reason to charge me for a new edition of Office. Fair enough. My old copy of Office was 2000. But I got a new computer with Windows 8 so I got all new software. The problem I have is office 2000 worked just fine and did every thing I need, which is mostly Word and Excel. But they had to change at all around so I don't know where anything is and I don't use most of it. That's one thing, but if you are going to do that give me a choice! Let me set it up the way I want to. But that's not an option, or if it is I can't find it. Keep it simple stupid. Also, add this to the confusion to Windows 8... oh!! Don't get me started!!! My son is a big Mac person and he told me to get a Mac. Let me just say he's still laughing, at me not with me...

Runs smoothly, includes all the MS office programs

Posted by: from Ok City, OK on 03/31/2013Office 365 is great and includes all office programs. While I don't like to pay an annual fee I'm sure I have always spent an average of $100 annually on Office and did not purchase the Professional version. After a brief adjust I'm really satisfied with this purchase. I recommend adding Outlook Business Contact Manager to your purchase.

"Works on Mac or PC"... ish
3
Posted by: from Simi Valley, CA on 03/30/2013Something they don't tell you when you contact Microsoft (even though you expressly ask it) is that Access and Publisher DO NOT WORK on a Mac. I looked into this program because I have a mac and a pc, and wanted a way to use Publisher on both. Really, that was it. The people from Microsoft's "live chat" assured me that the whole thing worked on a Mac. However, if you'll scroll to the bottom, you'll see that Publisher and Access do not work on a mac. If you only have PC's, then this is awesome. However, if you use both Mac and PC, and you're just doing this to be able to use publisher, know that you will not have an on-computer version. Other than that, it's a pretty good program. Takes a bit of getting used to, though.

Great program for 5 users at a bargain price
3
Posted by: from Millersburg, Ohio on 03/25/2013Like anything else, a bargain is a bargain for a reason. I like working with Microsoft Office programs, and this is a little different than I'm used to. I had a fraction of the cost for 5 users and it gets the job done. Only 2-negatives (my preference) ! 1. all of the programs have a White background, making it a little more difficult to distinguish what is background and what your working on, rather than a colored background & dashboard when you buy the individual programs. 2. When you open it, you have to select a blank page, rather than it popping up in a blank page when you open it. Bottom line, it'll save you money and still get the job done.

Subscription not for me
1
Posted by: from Beaufort, SC on 03/24/2013I have used Microsoft Office suites since Office 97 ($600) and replaced them with each and every version that came out. When the new EULA switched to allow only one user with one computer for the disc and only one user for one year with the subscription I realized I had to part with Microsoft. While I love the look and feel of this product, I can get better functionality with the same compatibility out of Corel Wordperfect X6 at a 1/4 of the total cost (80 dollars on a 3 year cycle vs 300 dollars for a 3 year cycle) and for every year I use the Corel without buying a new product I save even more. As for Office itself, If you used 2010 you will feel right at home with 365. Its intuitive and user friendly, feature rich environment will get you working on your project quickly.
