Very usable technology for some time

This edition installed with a blah background and was unsuccessful in changing it to something else. Had to re-install it on another computer (the 1st one suffered infant mortality) and Best Buy tech simply gave ma a new one rather than suffering thru the xfr process Baaad! !

The New Office Standard at a Price

Posted by: from Dallas, TX on 03/29/2013Office 2013 works well once installed. if you don't plan on keeping all your files in the "cloud", watch out for the dialogs about ONENOTE and select according. Physically all you get when making a store purchase is a small cardboard folder with a plastic card which you scratch off to get the Product Activation Key. After entering the key the package has to be downloaded for installation.

Do not like Windows 8 at all.

I also really do not like that there is no foward and back button nor off-on. If I had to do over I would purchase windows 7!

okay, but not the best Office product

Posted by: from Amarillo, TX on 03/15/2013It's typical Office but with a few new features. However, if you purge ALL in Outlook, it truly purges all, even if you've downloaded email to the server. it's all GONE. FOREVER.

Was unable to down software

I am leery to go back to Best Buy to ask for assistance, since they will probably charge me for the help. By the way, does any seller provide help without charging you for it?
