Ok, so this is a very great projector, got it for my 15th birthday, i have it for my ROOM!!! This thing is great, i have this projector sitting a little over 8' away, which is pretty close, and guess what! it projects a 6' (72 inches) diagonal screen, Also this projector is WXGA, which is like XGA (720p), but it's widescreen which make it better for watching movies, also it has a maximum resolution that is 1080P, which really doesn't mean anything. This is a very good projector for just my room. I would recommend a different projector if you are going to project a screen bigger that 13' diagonal, because since it's only 720P it might look bad. If you go to this website you can check the throw distance
http://www.projectorcentral.com/Optoma-PRO360W-projection-calculator-pro.htm
Check this before you buy a screen, this virtual throw distance is pretty accurate. The projector is VERY bright, even in eco mode, which means your bulb can last 6,000 hours. I have this connected to my ps3 with an HDMI cable, and my desktop with a VGA cables. You will be very happy with this little thing, i have used it for about 22 hours, it also has a hour counter, if you use this for 5 hours every day you can last about 4 years, Here is a link for the bulb, comes with the full housing, some sellers don't really come with the housing only the bulb, which requires more time and skill.

Not Very happy about the Lamp1

I have had the Projector 1 year and 2 months have put 600 hours on the Lamp and already having to buy a new Lamp at $200.00 plus shipping!!! This is not what was advertised for the lamp life!
Very upset at Best Buy and Optoma also the lamp is only warranty for 90 days and the projector has a 1 year warranty!!
Of coarse Best Buy nor Optoma will admit that it is a defect and meet me half way on the cost of a new lamp.0 out of 5 found this review helpful.

i dont know what else you would need - true 1080p, stereo out and easy to store, multi function remote. and ready for a 3d upgrade.
I used this to play a blu ray of cars 2 on a 12ft outdoor screen for my sons bday. cant belive had great the pic was- just like watching it on the 60" led sanyo we got for xmas. you cant lose on this, buy it!!!
also brought powered speakers from klipsh on display at store great match great set up , tons of fun
ps you might not be happy with speaker out put from projector itself- you will need something to amp it up a little3 out of 3 found this review helpful.

Excellent projector for use cases in which you need to travel and have decent amount of brightness. Works fine with semi lighted meeting rooms. Size and weight is excellent. Does not make too much of sound. I have been using this only for a month but so far it has performed very good. Resolution is not super, but enough even for showing out the fine print on my technical presentations which involve showing lots of code examples on my IDE and such.4 out of 5 found this review helpful.

Decent projector4

Pros:
This projector is quite bright, enough so that you need to tone it down in a fully black room
It's a projector, it projects :-)
Cons:
Does not do 3D with the PlayStation 3 (dealbraker for me)
Not 1080
Like most (1) DLP projectors, looking across the screen creates a rainbow effect.
With my setup, I had difficulty getting the top and bottom to both be in focus unless I threw the image out of square.
Other:
Decent size/weight.
Not very many types of inputs, take a look at what it has before purchasing.
This projector won't work well for my plans, but would work better for presentations.49 out of 70 found this review helpful.
