The premier episode of MTV's phenomenally successful reality sitcom finds the metal madman and his family moving into a palatial estate in Beverly Hills. As Ozzy struggles to use a particularly complex remote control and reluctantly prepares for an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, kids Jack and Kelly display their unique brand of full-contact, love-hate sibling rivalry. Meanwhile, the Osbournes' security guard, Michael, gets up close and personal with the viewers by offering an exclusive look at his blood clot. As the episode draws to a close, Ozzy's wife Sharon attempts to bring a little levity to the unhinged household by offering some motherly advice to the feuding siblings. The Osbournes: For the Record
With Ozzy's new album about to hit the streets, Sharon, Kelly, and the family patriarch head to New York City for a promotional tour that includes appearances on TRL and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Meanwhile, Jack proves a little too rebellious for the "hippy" camp he's attending and begins to pack his bags for the voyage home. With everyone returning home in time to celebrate Kelly's 17th birthday, an all-out celebration ensues and, much to her parent's dismay, the birthday girl gets a tattoo. Amidst all of the birthday chaos, Jack entertains an overnight female guest behind a locked bedroom door. The Osbournes: Bark at the Moon
As Sharon's canine collection grows, Ozzy is dismayed to find little puppy land mines scattered throughout their home and some mysterious chew marks on the furniture. Quickly tiring of his status as the family pooper-scooper, the crown prince of darkness suggests that if Sharon would simply let the dogs outside a few times a day, he may be able to comfortably retire from his new position. Worried that the dogs may be using their incontinence to express emotional distress, Sharon calls on the help of dog therapist Tamara for assistance while a skeptical Ozzy remains doubtful as to the effectiveness of her approach. As the tension mounts, Kelly is pulled over by the police as a result of her poor driving skills. The situation quickly deteriorates as the family finally sits down to dinner. As conversation boils over, Kelly soon storms off before Ozzy confiscates the knife Jack received as a gift. The Osbournes: No Vagrancy
The arrival of a curiously over-comfortable and seemingly permanent houseguest stirs the parental feathers in this memorable episode of The Osbournes. Invited by Jack to stay in his room despite the fact that Ozzy never remembers meeting him, professional skateboarder Jason Dill quickly overstays his welcome when he leaves the kitchen in disarray and Sharon discovers a mysterious bottle of Jack Daniels (which she promptly attempts to urinate in). Packing his bags to hit the road despite Jack's objection, Dill bids the Osbournes farewell as Jack discovers that his parents have given away Lola the bulldog without consulting him. Following an overmedicated walk with one of the family dogs, Ozzy returns home and attempts to console Kelly, who frets over the fact that Jack's music career seems to be taking off while hers seems to have stalled. Returning to the Merry Mayhem tour after Thanksgiving and despite the fact that his leg is still on the mend, Ozzy tells his family that he'd like to be alone for his upcoming birthday. Though he has whipped himself into shape for the Merry Mayhem tour, a leg injury forces Ozzy to step down from the stage and postpone the coming concert dates. This, in addition to a troubling call from the distressed family nanny, prompts Ozzy and Sharon to return home to confront their increasingly out-of-control offspring. A family meeting is held after the couple returns home, only to find Jack continuing to party; as Ozzy confronts his son about his alcohol and drug intake, Jack walks out of the meeting and Kelly pledges to change her ways. As Sharon and Ozzy hammer out the specifics of Ozzy's upcoming Merry Meyham tour, Ozzy attempts to get in shape for the tour and expresses outrage when he discovers that concert organizers intend to use a bubble machine on-stage ("The Prince of Darkness has a bubble machine?!?!?!"). Already exhausted after hearing the relentless touring schedule, a distressed Ozzy may have more to worry about when Kelly loses his credit card while embarking on a whirlwind shopping spree. With Ozzy already angered by the substantial booty that Sharon and Kelly haul back to the house, Kelly struggles to find the lost credit card before her father realizes it's missing. Following a tantrum in which Kelly stresses over an upcoming Ob/Gyn appointment, war breaks out as the next-door neighbors blast their music into the wee hours of the morning. Enraged at the neighbor's response after she lets them have a piece of her mind, Sharon, with help from Jack, commences to launching ham and bagels into the offending neighbor's backyard as the blaring sounds of "My Girl" fill the night air. As an oblivious Ozzy catches some shut-eye, Sharon turns on the charm when the police arrive and gets let off with a warning.
