Toasts inconsistently.

Posted by: from Muskegon, MI on 05/24/2012I'm taking it back. For even toasting - it's a flop !

Good toaster for the money

Posted by: from Flossmoor, IL on 05/23/2012Toasts evenly, and the one I have toasts lightly or darkly. The crumb tray is easy to clean, I like the way it looks and it takes up very little room on the counter.

Good basic toaster

Posted by: from Miramar, FL on 10/09/2011Tired of burned toast in a toaster oven, got this due to the price and looks. Works well, but I do not agree with other reviewers regarding bagels or thicker sized items. I like to toast my burger buns and the highest peak always gets a little scorched. Maybe that's because it is a thick bread and not a bagel. I eat bagel thins and do not have a comparison to go by, just beware. Heavier items also don't pop all the way up, kind of skimpy on popping power. Otherwise, gets the job done and I don't have to monitor it like with a toaster oven. Hate that it seems so flimsy. Easy to clean. Love the frozen setting, which was a selling point for me.

Posted by: from Cincinnati, OH on 09/29/2011We love this toaster. The only issue we have is it is difficult to control how dark the toast is. Even on the lighter settings, it is somewhat darker than desired.

Posted by: from Boise, Id on 09/27/2011I have been looking for a small toaster for our camping trailer checking in stores and on line with different sellers but hadn't checked BestBuy. I found this Oster toaster :-) while visiting your store for a vaccuum filter. It had all the right buttons/ wide slot and small size I needed and it was on sale for a great price. I liked it so much I bought another one from your store for the house when we need something smaller than the toaster oven. So far they are both working great.

Posted by: from new york on 09/17/2011It works well and is easy to clean. The wide slots and selector buttons are great. I also liked the knob to dial the degree of darkness to your toast or bagels. The cancel botton is a plus too.

Posted by: from Wildomar, CA on 03/22/2011Got it for bagels. Always had basic toaster before. Like the added features. After reading reviews for all toasters I wondered if any were good. Needed new one and liked price and brand. Not sorry.

Don't buy this
1
Posted by: from Suburb of Chicago on 06/22/2010Purchased at my local Best Buy store...it was the only brand of toaster they carried. Didn't feel like searching around in a lot of stores for other brands because it is not that costly and I did not feel like wasting my time and gas. I have had Oster products in the past and they did their job...I thought, "What the heck?" Well, it is a nice looking item...BUT... at very low setting, one side of the toast was light....and the sides toward the center were scorched. I thought, perhaps, it was me...so I went through it again and same thing. After a few tries, I called Oster. Very nice people. They sent me a new toaster....and guess what....it does the same thing. Have not called them again....has to be a design flaw. Now I have 2 new toasters...neither of which function properly.....so.....it is too late to return to Best Buy and I just might try contacting Oster again....but I am not sure that there is a point to that....so my $24.99 went up in smoke.....(plus sales tax).

Why is buying a toaster so hard
1
Posted by: from Colorado on 02/24/2010IT'S A TOASTER! HOW COULD YOU SCREW UP THE DESIGN OF A TOASTER? Bought this toaster 2 days ago. It's going back today. The toasting (burning) was uneven. On setting 3 1/2 the lower 2 thirds of the bread was black, the upper third saw still too dark. Why does the dial goes up to 7 If the bread is burned on 3 1/2? I imagine if I put it on 7 the bread would have been completely incinerated. The bread slots are wide but they are not ling enough for any bread other than square Wonder Bread. The Oroweat (or store brand equivalent) whole grain bread I buy is too long to fit in the slots by about a 1/2" Also, I agree with the reviewer that complained about the cord. It comes from the front of the unit thus the cord is essentially shortened by 8" because it needs to be fed back under the unit. The crumb tray is also totally useless. It is less than 1/4" deep. The box says "Toast just the way you like it - Perfect every time" NOT EVEN CLOSE! I'm probably being to rough. They must still be working out the kinks in these new fangled things. I mean the toaster has only been around since 1919.

IT has all what you need

Posted by: from Scotch Plains on 01/18/2010Think of a morning. An intense desire to enjoy quality breakfast... This toaster3q makes miracles. The toated bread slices glitter as gold and tempt you to spread the toast with nutella, cream cheese or apple butter. Make your choice and the toaster toasts according to your taste. Easy to operate Mess free easy cleaning bottom tray. We got a black color which suits our kitchen top and this one adds beauty to kitchen. We had a black and decker for 5 years and it dies suddenly one day. This is a replacement and this does what we want it to do. You better buy this and enjoy Don't miss... 12.21.2012 is not far!
