We tried smoothies and salsa, but each time we were left with decent chunks of fruit, even after blending for 15 minutes. We didn't even think to try ice with its performance. We did return if for another Oster blend, that we are extremely pleased with.

when asked to reduce ice, big chunks of fruit, etc. So far does a great job! Best Buy is always so accommodating if there should be problems.

This blender tears through ice like it's paper.

Our old blender sucked and she had finally had it with that one. I bought this one for her and she has loved using it everyday. It tears through ice as if it were paper.

Bought other blenders that were cheaper, but all their motors froze when trying to make smoothies. After 3 tries with cheaper models I decided to spend a bit more and found this Blender. The motor is plenty strong to blend even the most stubborn frozen fruits, like whole frozen Strawberries!! Love the preprogrammed buttons for different type of frozen drinks and the 3 seperate speeds choices along with the preprogrammed one touch buttons give plenty of blending options for anyone!!

I researched it considerably on the Internet & found this great alternative. It doesn't do quite everything the Vitamix does but for the price it's perfect! Especially like the preset button for making frozen drinks & smoothies!
