Premium memory at a good price5

I bought this memory to upgrade an older hp dv-1000 laptop from the factory 512mb RAM. I had previously installed 2GB of cheap Kingston Value Ram, which caused multiple crashes and blue screens. Although the Kingston product works well in some applications, my hp didn't like it. However, the PNY memory works fine and this old laptop has new life in it, does a lot of things much faster and less disc thrashing.- Build or modify your own PC : Yes

I had tried the Kingston Platinum first, after having the second RAM piece not work for my system and having the customer support at Kingston suggest updating my systems BIOS, I decided to just exchange it for another brand. I got the PNY RAM, installed in about a minute, system booted up and has worked perfect!1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

Put the memory in the laptop and I got error messages galore. Returned the memory and replaced it with a competitors and the computer worked great. you must have a faulty batch of memory.3 out of 3 found this review helpful.

I have a 2003 apple ibook and decided to upgrade instead of purchasing a new laptop. 512MB of RAM just wasn't doing the trick when it came to watching videos or downloading anything. Upgrading to 1.25GB makes it seem like a new machine! It was very easy to install. I have only been using it for a couple of days, but the improvement is astounding! I hope that it continues to deliver fast results in the future.4 out of 4 found this review helpful.

I had almost given up on my iBook G4 because it was so slow. After researching ways to improve my computer's performance, I bought this RAM upgrade and it's made a very noticeable difference. It's super easy to install (took me about 2 minutes total); goes right underneath the keyboard, which is easy to pop off.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

It speeded up my iBook G4 and made an obvious difference. The only thing was that I was having a problem installing it. It wound up being that I just didn't push it in far enough, and once I did, I booted up the computer and there was a very clear and obvious difference in the speed. This is a great piece of ram because its so effective and so affordable!1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

I HAVE USED PNY A WHILE AGO IN ANOTHER LAPTOP AS WELL AS A DESKTOP .... BOTH WERE VERY EASY TO INSTALL AND NO ISSUES WITH EITHER MY SONY LAPTOP OR HP DESKTOP READING THE RAM STRAIGHT UP.....MY TOSHIBA M45 SERIES ONLY HAD 1 CHIP 512... ADDED 1 GB TO
IT AND COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW QUICK START UP WAS IMMEDIATELY...

the first piece of memory i dropped into my Toshiba Satellite M45-S165 didnt work and i became discouraged, but after i did extensive research on the internet everywhere i looked said that this chip would work, the model number is the same as Kingstons and that one is 109.99 and the PNY was only 39.99, so i exchanged it (no problems at all) and installed this one in the parking lot, and just like that it worked. Very happy customer, i feel like my computer has been revived! AAA+++ good buy.0 out of 2 found this review helpful.
