Purchased as a birthday present, stick failed and was causing blue screens in less than a week. Got replacement from local Best Buy, stick failed on 2nd day, wouldn't even allow for memory diagnostics to run.- Build or modify your own PC : Yes

Bought this to upgrade from 3gb to 8gb on my Windows 7 laptop. Made sure that the os would support that much ram and that the PNY ram was compatible; actually double checked so I would run into an issues. Got it home, installed easy (have installed ram in the past so I knew what to do) and booted up the computer. And the trouble begins. Boot up starts super slow, then proceeds to a Windows error screen. Apparently there is a disk error and Windows has to repair the disk. This repair corrected nothing. Removed the PNY ram and put the oem ram back in everything is back to normal. Definitely disappointed and will definitely stay away from PNY products. Ram upgrade should be one of the easiest upgrades when it comes to computers and not cause disk errors. I don't know why I continue to buy products from Best Buy since they seem to sell so much junk.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

I got 2 of these with a 2011 Mac mini... I thought that I'd pump the RAM up to 8GB and also pump the VRAM from 256-288 to 512. The chips fit perfectly and I never had any issue booting into the system and the Profiler read both RAM chips.
The odd thing was, with these chips installed, the mini would reboot itself anywhere from 4- 10 times a day, which made it worthless as a home media server. Once I took these out and went back to the 2GB stock Apple RAM - no more reboots... didn't change anything else, just the RAM.
I think I may have just gotten a lemon chip, because I usually have great luck with PNY and I do normally recommend them... just can't in my particular instance...- Build or modify your own PC : Yes

Avoid! Bought a pair of 4GB = 8GB total = Failed.1

Using the sale price and rewards voucher to bought two single package same exact item and then installed as a pair of 4GB to equal 8GB to run in my Intel I-5 cpu HP laptop; all was well for 1 month, now one fails and I am getting a run around in attempts to return. Moved them both to an Core-2 Mac mini and also immediately failed; removed one and works, tried each one as a separate boot up and one failed. Checked the Internet and found many complaints of same RAM chip as failing too often and too soon. Avoid the headache this brand is no longer what it was it seems.- Build or modify your own PC : Yes

Was easy to install. Took less than 2 minutes. It took longer trying to get it out of the packaging. Didn't want to get cut by the plastic or have the module moving around a lot while trying to open it.- Build or modify your own PC : Yes
