Upgraded my daughters Macbook Pro from 4GB to 8GB. It was worth it. Be careful with the screws on the bottom cover of the Macbook Pro.- Build or modify your own PC : Yes

Since I have installed the RAM into my 2011 MacBook Pro, I have seen significant changes in which applications start up and how well they function together. Games run smoother and the fans do not have to work as hard. This is a great buy if you are wanting a little more RAM to work with.- Build or modify your own PC : Yes

I was misled when I purchased this item. I was expecting to expand my Toshiba laptop memory to 12 GB. Instead, after Geek Squad installed my memory chips, I had an 8 GB laptop and a spare memory chip that I can't do anything with. Had I been told that there was only room for two memory chips, I would have gone with the less expensive, one memory chip option. Best Buy isn't very good at informing their customers of problems or issues that arise while receiving service. I'm disappointed.- Build or modify your own PC : No

I installed the additional memory in my HP laptop. It took about 5 minutes in total. The 5 minutes includes reading instructions and taking the screws off the back of the laptop. Installing the memory cards and screwing the cover back on the laptop.
The only improvement possibly could be expanding the instructions to clarify removing the memory currently installed. Make it clearer how to remove the old memory would have been great. I had to make some assumptions as a newbie.- Build or modify your own PC : Yes

Not Backwards Compatible for Macbooks...1

Bought this as an amazing deal with sale plus reward zone points. However, turns out though this product states it is backwards compatible, Macbook 7.1 only takes 1067mhz and will not boot with this installed. Taking back first thing in the am.4 out of 5 found this review helpful.

I knew when I purchased my new HP laptop that I wanted to upgrade the memory due to the fact that by purchasing the 4gb was much cheaper. I was told by a Best Buy employee that the memory upgrades do go on sale and when they do the price is great. I waited and purchased this one for about half of the regular price and then had the Geek Squad install it. That way I knew everything would work properly and now the laptop just flies!- Build or modify your own PC : No
