Cheap & easy, Not for everyone2

This is good cheap ram. Great if you're not going to be playing games that may tax your computer RAM. What employees don't tell you is that this ram may not be in your motherboard's Qualified Vendor's List (QVL). If you're not running programs/games that tax your system it should run great, however as I've come to find out this ram may cause your motherboard to throw random blue screens of death (BSOD). Check your motherboard QVL if you're buying this for gaming and save yourself the trouble of crashes.- Build or modify your own PC : Yes

I was looking for some ram, needed to upgrade a cheap computer. I only had 25 buck, luckily this bad boy was on sale for 15. Took a while to ship but worked like a charm, hasn't crashed once and has been working just fine :)- Build or modify your own PC : Yes

I was a little hesitant after reading the deals here, but I couldn't pass up $15 for 4gb of RAM. I installed the RAM and it worked for the rest of the night. Woke up in the morning and couldn't get pass my BIOS screen. Took the RAM out and it worked fine. PNY has never done me wrong until this. I've built computers in the past no problem or anything, so it's not like I didn't know what I was doing either (not to mention RAM is possibly the easiest thing to install). Will be returning this afternoon.- Build or modify your own PC : Yes

Faulty from the factory2

Timing, CAS latency, and speed all match which is good however after running 30 hours of memtest86 on this memory there were over four million errors on one of the 4 Gb modules which I purchased. I will be returning all four, as that is unacceptable to have a memory stick fail from the factory. That tells me what poor quality control they practice. Price was excellent @ 16Gb for ~$100. However all of the bluescreens and random crashes in both windows 8 and windows 7 do not justify the price and aggravation of troubleshooting it.- Build or modify your own PC : Yes
