    High Failure Issue
    1
Posted by: from Santa Rosa, CA on 05/14/2013The units starting failing after two weeks. Slow throughput (speed) was resolved by re-boots, but they became required more frequently. Called AT&T and they replaced with a Netgear - works flawless now. Also - the UI is ugly. Don't by this cheap hardware.

Pace 4111N is a Bad Product
    1
Posted by: from Fort Worth on 02/06/2013My 2Wire DSL Modem/Router was out after three years of non-stop using it. I was advised by AT&T customer services to get PACE 4111N (Modem and router). I bought one from Best Buy on January 29, 2013 and it was bad. It worked for three hours and then there was no signal and the internet was not working. I checked the modem/router and it showed that there was a red light on the "Service". Well, I thought it might be the AT&T line was down. I unplugged the power for 10 seconds and plugged it back it. It worked! I was a happy man again. For the next 8 hours, it went down again. It was the same problem; red light service came on. I repeated the process again. Then, it went out again after one hour later. I thought to myself I might have bought or picked the bad modem. I went to Best Buy and exchanged it for the same Pace 4111N. Well, this time I had AT&T on the phone to help me out setting up. After two hours later. It went down again; red light service came on and the internet had no connection. It went out several times since I had it Monday (2-4-13). If I want to use the internet, I unplugged power and put it back in and waited for all green lights came back on. Then there was connection. I'm really, really upset with this product. It is a BAD Product I ever had in my life. I would not recommend this product to any one. It's bad and it is expensive ($100).

Definite improvement over the 2Wire modem for AT&T
    5
Posted by: from South Central Connecticut on 01/29/2013I have AT&T DSL service, and I like to stay current.. They have recently gone to the Pace 4111n modem as their preferred, but still for now support the older 2Wire units. The Pace 4111N has software that unlike the 2Wire, makes switching at least in my case fast and without a glitch. I was up and running in minutes. As reported by other users however, the 4111N will once in a while drop the signal. But it comes back without any problems, and I find the Pace to be much faster than the 2Wire, so it was a noticeable improvement .

Needs to be reset daily, sometimes more than once
    1
Posted by: from Eau Claire on 12/08/2012Unfortunately the only one that will work with At&T. The older model did not need to be reset as often as this new version. Rather frustrating when kids are doing homework, or while online chatting and skype.

    Good buy

Posted by: from Orlando, FL on 12/07/2012Had a lot of intermittent data dropouts with my 2-Wire modem originally supplied by AT&T, which seems to be a common problem with that device. AT&T tech support was no help, so I replaced the 2-Wire modem/router with the Pace modem/router and it works great. Easy to set up, takes about 10 minutes for it to detect the network the first time you turn it on, maybe 15-20 minutes total setup time. Now I don't have any more annoying "failure to detect DSL signal" errors.

Solid working DSL Modem with easy setup.

Posted by: from Kalamazoo, MI on 10/18/2012This modem was an excellent replacement for my wireless-G DSL modem. The setup was easy; it includes WPA security to replace the hackable WEP; you have 4 ethernet ports if that is necessary; the wireless capability worked well throughout the house.
