Optical cables do NOT fit into optical sockets on this device. There is no ability to control sound through the tv. This unit is absolutely useless.1 out of 4 found this review helpful.

Good sound for a sound bar4

This is a very good sound bar for 200 bucks, please remember this is not a full 5 or 7 speaker system. I have cable box with HDMI, therefore I run speaker cable from soundbar to panasonic receiver, and then use digital optical cable from panasonic receiver to cable box. Optical cable is not included but not expensive. Remote is small but does the job. I have two
universal remotes and easily programmed them to operate system.
Wireless sub is fine, People complain that panasonic receiver shows no digital readings, only lights but it is not a major issue. Directions state unit will automatically switch to standby mode when no signal or input is performed for approx 30 minutes. Not certain what to make of that as only one time I lost volume and turned receiver off and back on. Otherwise, have watched for several minutes and never experienced standby mode. This product was not displayed on the store shelves as apparently Panasonic does not pay Best Buy to do so. Only after discussing with a sales associate did I find it was available. The price I paid was excellent, and the quality and sound sound are great.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

These speakers are exactly what I needed for my bedroom. The speakers produce high quality sound and are able to be as loud as you want them to be. The subwoofer is also excellent.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

Really like the product. Watched Transformers and floor was shaking..scared my dog. But...... when I turn the sound down just enough to talk on the phone for a short period of time... it shuts itself off...kinda odd.1 out of 2 found this review helpful.

I highly recommend this sound bar. Bought it for my apartment and I've loved every second of it. Bluetooth/Aux fetature and the ability to set the sound bar up vertical or horizontal is a nice touch. If you are looking for good quality at a low price, the Panasonic is the way to go!1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

If your spouse hates wiring and you live in an established house this would set you up well. I love true surround sound but my wife hates the appearance of cords and wires. This makes for an easy compromise.2 out of 2 found this review helpful.
