Excellent 2 line phone system for small business
5
Posted by: RMorgan from Sacramento on 10/20/2011This is the 2nd Panasonic phone system that I have purchased for my business. I have been pleased with the quality of both systems. This one is compact, easy to use and set up, and the sound quality has been excellent. My other Panasonic system got a lot of wear and tear and lasted for 6 yrs. The desk unit still worked fine, but the cordless ones had problems. I'm confident that I'll get many years out of this new one. That's why I went with Panasonic again.

No the solution for me
3
Posted by: sbueb from Minneapolis, MN on 01/11/2010The phone was very easy to set up and the initial sound quality seemed very good.
BUT, I use the hands free capability a lot, so that I can use the computer keyboard with both hands while I'm speaking. Right off the bat, people were saying I was breaking up, which lead me to using the handset for my calls. This cut my productivity. A solution would be to use a headset, but the base unit doesn't have that capability.
I am returning this unit and buying a simpler AT&T phone that has the headset jack. I feel I've paid too much for this phone.

Decent basic phone, expensive (features vs. price)
2
Posted by: Jacobs from NJ on 10/22/2009It is a decent 2 line basic cordless phone. It lacks a lot of features that you can find in a less expensive single line panasonic cordless phone such as Talking Caller ID, LED Voice Mail Indicator, LED battery charge indicator. This phone does not cut off or change the color of it's LED when the battery is charged.
Accessing caller ID and Phone books is a big pain. You need to strike a series of keys to reach there. They simply kept the basic design and re-assigned two soft keys to Line1 and Line2 instead of adding two more buttons, which makes it very hard to use the phone book and Caller ID. At the same time the base unit has simple interface for these functions with additional buttons for lines.
This phone is not worthy for the current price compared to the features this phone has. I will not recommend this phone unless they bring the price down to 150s. It is not worthy.
I still keeping this phone because I am a panasonic fan and cannot find any less expensive 2 line cordless from panasonic.

Panasonic 2 Line
5
Posted by: DonnaBS from Long Island, NY on 09/11/2009I asked around and Panasonic is the phone by recommendation. The real problem was that the 'ear sound' kept dropping. I didn't lose contact but it sounded like I did, so I kept asking if they could hear me...
Panasonic said not to worry about it, but I didn't want to go over my 30-day return policy in case it presented bigger issues down the road.
I was thinking it had something to do with a 2-line, since I was only using one line... but they said that wouldn't do it.
Regardless, I exchanged it for a Panasonic (KX-TG1061) one-line and so far am loving it! The black on the soft keys still off, but the key pad is a nice size and ALL keys light up! a HUGE plus.

Excellent for Business or Personal Use
4
Posted by: viptopics from Laguna Niguel, CA on 08/01/2009The dialing buttons have improved since the last version. Most listeners are not aware when speaker phone is in use. No static or interference w/ speaker phone or cordless. Only wish it had an adapter on the MAIN BASE to accommodate a headset without buying a headset system. Also, turning ringers on and off should have a shortcut on the side.
