    WiFi movies are great....

    Posted by: from Northern California on 03/18/2013I looked at other brands but preferred Panasonic because of its features, ease of use, and the brand name. I've also used it for playing dvds & photos & like its response time. I can play my photos through it on my tv because it comes with JPEG built in which is a feature other brands do not include. It's always nice to see your photos on a big screen instead of just looking at them on your computer. I've also noticed that some of the movies available on WiFi are not available in dvds. I know this can be true vice versa but this is to be expected in the WiFi movie world. I'm glad we were able to watch them on WiFi because they turned out being great movies. I highly recommend this unit.

    Useful mostly for Blu-Rays..not much for streaming

    Posted by: from Peoria, IL on 03/08/2013This player has two problems, one of which may not be an issue for some buyers. 1) It has very few apps, and can't be upgraded to get more. Amazon users are out of luck. 2) It is extremely slow to respond to commands, both in the network mode and the DVD mode. It's not a remote or battery issue....more of an internal processor issue or firmware issue. Very annoying to deal with...you end up either entering contradictory commands, or learning to wait 10-30 seconds for the unit to actually do what you've told it to do. I highly recommend choosing the next player up in the line, the Panasonic DMP-BDT220, which is well worth the additional money.
