A real disappointment. I have used it a handful of times but the frustration of trying to play the music after docked has lead this product to be useless to me.- Type of Listener : Audiophile

I can not belive this product is for sale. You have to down load an APP for this thing and it does not even work. there are two apps and they both suck. just read the reviewes for the Phillips dock app. the only thing nice is that you can dock any android w/skin in it. but who cares when it does not even work. I have HTC thunderbolt and droid 2 and no worky, I wasted a half a day trying to get this to work. forget it......- Type of Listener : Audiophile

This is a solid piece of equipment. The USB plug on the front spins around to allow you to put various devices on the stand, and it also has a auxillary 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Some things to take note of with this device.
1. Unless your phone has special audio support (Beats by Dre or something similar) you will most likely get better sound quality through the 3.5 mm jack than relying on the phone hardware via the usb plug.
2. It's not a large speaker set, for it's size the sound is loud for it's size but it IS limited by your device. So if you have a low end budget droid it's probably not going to sound as great as some higher end devices.
3. It's not designed, nor built, to replace a home theater system.
4. Yes it can run on batteries, no the batteries won't last that long with the sound high, while charging a device, and using the bluetooth capability. So using it as a mobile unit on batteries for a short period of time would be fine, doing it for a prolonged period will just result in disappointment.
If you want a solid, budget priced, speaker set for your droid phone (or other device since this has a 3.5mm headphone jack with it) this is a good deal. If you want a high end replacement for your bose equipment or your home theater look elsewhere.- Type of Listener : Avid listener

Perfect for sitting on my desk at work. I can't get anything but static at my location on the regular AM/FM radio. With Phillips I can listen to streaming radio or MP3 music at work and never miss a song. Really nice!- Type of Listener : Casual listener

Nice android docking station3

Purchased this docking station for work.
Value for price: I purchased it on sale for $103.00, still needs to be cheaper.
Sound Quality: Sound is somewhat loud, does not carry sound very well. And speakers tend to make a crackling sound from time to time.
Ease of Use: Top rating for this, connects to my Samsung Prevail no problem, and Bluetooth does give a nice range wirelessly.
Features: Not a lot of features, its just a docking station, has AUX audio in which is nice. Also features a rear USB for charging other devices which is nice.
If you are buying this for the fact it can run on batteries then don't, it drains the batteries fast. Also as it drains the batteries, the audio gets lower and lower till the batteries are dead. This was one of the main reason why I bought it, but decided to keep it because it plugged right into my Android phone.- Type of Listener : Casual listener

At first thought it was pretty good, after a while I realised the sound was not loud enough, and was tinny sounding...
Brought it back (Best Buy is GREAT!)
I bought a Jawbones Jambox - more money but a GREAT speaker!! WOW!- Type of Listener : Casual listener

Picked this up myself and i'm very impressed. While the sound isn't as great as I'd like, for just a simple bedroom nightstand dock, this does everything it needs to and then a little more.
It follows closely in the footsteps of the iHome series of accessories in that it has a special app that is configureable to program alarms, pictures, play times for music, etc...
Pros: Great dock for your night stand, kitchen, bathroom etc... where you can dock, charge, play music, and program.
Cons: Requires an app to run all the time in order to use it. This doesn't seem to affect the battery, and you can 'kill' the app, but in order for the alarm to work etc... you need the app working. Streams music through Bluetooth and does not use the power adapter for data transfer.- Type of Listener : Avid listener

Software is kind of buggy, but it sounds good.2

The speaker sounds good, but I don't like the Fidelio software or Songbird. If you aren't careful, the software tries to connect to the phone all day via the bluetooth and eats your phone battery. The clock/alarm settings are pretty limited. I don't like that you can't just set the alarm to play random songs from your phone library. You either have to pick one of their alarm sounds or use only one song from your library. I also can't use the charge port with my silicone phone case on because it won't sit level even with the adjustable settings.- Type of Listener : Avid listener

I bought this only to return it due to that it states will work with tablets. However it only has micro USB and not mini USB the next size up. There are no adapters for this and it would be great if there was. Bluetooth works great with tablet but would be better if you could dock it. I sure it works well with phones.- Type of Listener : Audiophile
