I am only running it at 300w instead of 500w. Didn't even need to run the 500w. its loud, hits very hard, and does not distort at all. I highly recommend this subwoofer

One Of The Best Subs For The Money

When Best Buy had them onsale online for $39.99 I had to order a couple. Best car audio money I ever spent. These subs love a sealed box, and while even a smaller sub amp can get them going good, they love an amp that can match their 400RMS watts power rating per sub. They can slam, are very articulate and will put alot of subs to shame that are 2 to 3 times the cost of what I paid on sale. The dual 2 ohm V.C. allow wiring to 1 ohm capable amps, getting maximum rms and output. They are designed and built using modern up to date materials, designed for high perfromance and long life. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quality sub for any kind of music that does not want to pay ridiculous prices for some other sub options.

Well after having problems in the beginning I finally found that i had a loose enclosure that was creating massive amounts of distortion. Once i fixed that everything was fine with this and it bangs hard. I am pushing it with a mmats 1000.1 and putting 1000 watts to it without any problems and it likes it. And i like it too.

Awesome Subs for Any Price

I purchased one just to see because I was skeptical as to how good they could be for only forty bucks. I was so impressed I ordered the other right away. I am not running much power to them (Alpine 5 channel amp with the sub channel running one of them and two of the other channels bridged running the other--this works out to equal power to each sub but still is half the rated RMS because the amp is small), so I am not sure how they would do with a strong amplifier. I would say that spending a bunch of money on really powerful amp for these is unnecessary, but who knows they might like it. Over all incredible subs for $40 each, (there was an online deal--reg price $129), Id say they are worth the $129 too. Totally happy customer here.
