Bought this pair along with the matching center channel as an upgrade to my HT system. It opened up a whole new dimension for the HT experience. Found some vocal tracks to exhibit a little bit too much sibilance (hisssy). Otherwise, they are a good neutral speaker with accurate sound reproduction. You can fill even a large room with clean sound and a moderate receiver. This is a must have tower speaker for anyone who wants great sound, is hard of hearing, and/or looking for a great in-home theater sound system. This is, indeed a Terrific Speaker!!! Many folks will consider this, an entry level model, due to the modest price. Be that as it may, entry level or no, this Speaker System is beyond First Class in Sound Quality. The whole Pioneer - Andrew Jones Line - is First Class, Sound-wise. I bought this Speaker on sale for $99.99 each. $212 including tax for a pair of these SPF52's is beyond belief, Value Wise & Sound Wise. You just cannot do better then this. I had heard and read about this line of speakers, and was doubtful. I have now purchased and used them in my home. I fully recommend them too anyone. Plus, operate them with a 10-12 Powered Sub, and you will be listening Full Range Happy - All the Way!!!0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

Bought these and took them back. They're just too big for the lack of sound they produced. I was using a Denon Receiver outputting quite a bit of juice, but either it wasn't enough or these were just mediocre.2 out of 33 found this review helpful.

I have had many speakers from cheap Sony's all the way up to world class Bowers & Wilkins, and I would have to say that these are closer to the Bowers than the Sony's. Easy to hook up with only two banana plugs per speaker, and nice with the removable grills. Give the crossover some time to warm up and break in, (2-4 hours of moderate volume) and the lower two woofers will reproduce some decent low range. Over all a great buy for the price, and compared to the Polk towers and Klipsch towers next to them, they sound just as good.18 out of 19 found this review helpful.
