We purchased two pairs for home use. My husband opened the package, removed the glasses, and one of the lenses fell on the floor. Very disappointing.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

Polaroid - 3D Cover Small 3D Glasses - Black
For months now I've been putting up with the flimsy 3D glasses that came with my 3D TV and quite frankly LG should be ashamed for using such shoddy and cheap glasses to bundle with their 3D TV package - even if they are free, but I digress.
Just so happened that this weekend me, the girlfriend, and her son wanted to have a 3D movie marathon and there was no way I was going to use the LG glasses - I got lucky and noticed they were all on sale so took advantage of it.
I'm going to be reviewing 3 different pairs of passive 3D glasses in hopes that someone looking for glasses to use with their 3D TV can save some time with returns and such. Over the weekend I purchased the following passive glasses and will review each one based on their own merits:
Polaroid - 3D Cover Small 3D Glasses - Black
Rocketfish™ - Passive 3D Glasses by Oakley
Gunnar - Gliff 3D Eyewear
This review is about the Polaroid - 3D Cover Small 3D Glasses - Black and out of the three listed above is my second pick pick with the Rocketfish™ - Passive 3D Glasses by Oakley being my hands down winner. They do fit very nice on my head and are comfortable even when used for a long time. The 3D image is pretty amazing but for some reason, the tinted sides that are supposed to help keep side light from being distracting actually had the opposite effect and I noticed me noticing the light more. In the dark, of course they are pretty nice. These glasses also come with a soft carry case/protector/cleaning cloth all in one so it was a nice bonus.
While not as expensive as the Rocketfish™ - Passive 3D Glasses by Oakley, they are still up there in price. If you can catch these on sale I can tell you it will be a good purchase, however If you are so fed up with the cheap bad fitting and flimsy glasses you got with your 3D TV or took from the movie theater then the cost vs benefit won't hurt as much as the Rocketfish.
The big bonus to these glasses are that they are perfect if you wear glasses as there is plenty of room between them and your glasses. These are the set my girlfriend's kid picked just for that reason.
I think it is also worth mentioning that I could see no difference at all between the picture quality or clarity with any of the 3 glasses I got this weekend and none of them had any ghosting effects. To those reviewing that one pair has a better picture quality vs the other for me simply was not evident and came down to what was more comfortable.
Hope it helps.6 out of 6 found this review helpful.

I love the fact that I can comfortably wear these glasses over my eye glasses. This allows me to be able to enjoy 3D movies at home with my family without having to fight with regular 3D glasses.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

Light, Bright, Easy on the Eyes5

Because these are the polarized glasses, they are lighter to wear than the "active" glasses, and much easier on the eyes because there is no flashing-blinking screen. Take these to the movies. These are a great substitute for the Real D glasses handed out at the theatre. Lens is wider than glasses that come with the television for a better perspective on the screen. Very comfortable. Fit easily over eyeglasses. Not as nice as the Gunnars, but a lot less expensive.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.
