Great Powered Sub Woofer. Saw some complaints about the sound becoming distorted and booming. Make sure you adjust the volume on the back of the sub woofer and have the correct settings in the receiver for this woofer.
Any woofer will get boomy and distorted if not adjusted properly. It is a 10" woofer, not a 12" or 14 "!!!!
I have it in a 20 X 20 bedroom with XBOX 360 and it kicks @$$!1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

Bought this item and couldn't be happier as far as price and quality. It was on sale for $99 and the look of it was nice. Plug it in with my receiver and it was loud enough that makes everything vibrates up to my bedroom window.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

The Polk PSW10 sounds great at lower volumes but distorted easily if I turned my receivers volume pass the half way point. The bass was boomy and not as tight as I hoped it would be. It would probably be better in a smaller room that doesn't require much volume.0 out of 2 found this review helpful.

Got this on sale for 99.00 to replace my old one that died. I use it primarily for tv surround sound and have been very pleased so far. While it wont rattle the walls, its a great unit for the price and i highly recommend!2 out of 2 found this review helpful.

Don't waste your money2

Bought this hoping to find a low price deal for a budget system and ended up returning it to the store the next day. Besides the fact that the $200 price tag turned out to be $100 more than a nearby competitor AND lots of places online, the sound was just bad. Barely audible at low volumes and at higher volumes all I could hear was port turbulence (the sound of the air coming out of the port). It literally drowned out the bass. Brought it back and replaced it with a Pioneer SW601 (from a competitor) which blows the Polk out of the water without breaking a sweat. Unless you are desparate for a sub, pass on this one. And Best Buy - Either pull this from the shelf or get competitive with the pricing. $199 is ridiculous when almost everywhere else has it for $99.2 out of 3 found this review helpful.

Plenty of power to shake my room. The speaker appears to be well made and sound quality is good. If you are looking to add some thump to your sound system at a great price give this product a try. I think you will love it as much as I do.
Do yourself a favor and place it in a corner facing the wall about 1 foot away. Boom!2 out of 3 found this review helpful.

I do not have a high end surround sound system, but this subwoofer provides excellent bass for the money, and is a huge improvement over a Sony subwoofer than came with a prepacked system about 10 years ago.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

This is a good sub but a little challenging to hook up with no LFE input.
The PSW110 is twice as powerful and was only $25 more, which is why I returned the PSW10.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

Bought this on black friday sale and am I glad I got it. For the money its a excellent sub. I started playing HALO ANNIVERY EDITION on my 55 in. TV and all the bullets and explosions really popped out with this sub. I felt like all the action was going on in my living room. The Bass in Music really stood out and added that perfect ooomph that I wanted. I am really happy with this purchase. I would definitely recommend it.2 out of 2 found this review helpful.

picked up a 7.2 surround sound after moving in to a new place. I got this sub with one of BB proven packages. My system calls for two subs but I settled for just one. This thing makes you feel like your in the theater. I haven't been out to the movies since. I picked up a second sub and not sure if my windows will be able to handle it. I bought this sub on the Black Friday sale to replace an existing KLH Audio sub that I have had for years now. I have Infinity Primus 360 Main Speakers, an Infinity Primus PC251 Center Channel and the KLH Surrounds for the side and rear surrrounds of the 7.1 system. I am powering those with a Sony STR-DG910 receiver I bought on a closeout when Circuit City closed up.
With this sub I have deeper and fuller bass sound than I previously had. It looks somewhat like the Infinity speakers with the black cloth face on and is a great deal at under one hundred dollars.
I can also add to it with the KLH sub in the rear of the room.2 out of 3 found this review helpful.

Poor bass quality2

After seeing this subwoofer on sale I immediately bought it expecting a decent quality of bass. Once installed, I immediately returned it after 3 hour of tinkering with my receiver settings. The bottom line was that any tv shows that had any subtle bass sounded really bad and was unacceptable.0 out of 5 found this review helpful.
