Later, after hurrying back to his apartment, Michael pulls the hard drive out of his computer and throws it into the Chicago River from his apartment window. The next day Michael is in a bank, brandishing a gun, and demanding that the teller open the vault. When the police surround the building, the intense robber drops his weapon, throws his arms into the air, and surrenders without incident. When Michael's day in court arrives, his friend and longtime lawyer Veronica Donovan attempts to dissuade him from entering a no contest plea. Regardless, Michael stands his ground and implores his nephew LJ to leave the courtroom. Posted by: from Salt Lake City, UT on 06/18/2010My wife started this series on Netflix, then just had to have it on DVD for the collection. Prison Break is a great show, full of characters to love and characters to hate. If you like a little bit of thrill and a fun plot, you'll love Prison Break.

season 1 is one of the best TV shows ever made

Posted by: from dallas, tx on 10/26/2009this show surpasses any expectations you could possibly have. as with most tv shows you expect some really silly level of story and/or plot line, and if that isn't in existence, you expect really terrible acting. this show really doesn't suffer in either area. i will admit the plot is so intensely over-the-top that in retrospect you realize it is more than unbelievable, but the story progression is so well done that you find yourself adequately immersed in every detail along the way whilst never really believing that this couldn't happen in real life. i think that's what make this show so excellent--it's so over-the-top yet so unbelievably believable, with every twist, turn, and well-timed plot direction change that you just cannot get away from it. in my opinion more entertaining even than Band of Brothers and even more original, captivating, and has a better unbelievably believable factor to it than Lost. the 2nd season was also fantastic, but after that it got a little too repetitive and silly for me. i was so in love with the first season that i was able to be a regular extra on the set in the 2nd and 3rd seasons and got to meet michael, lincoln, t-bag, and several other of the main actors. t-bag is definitely the nicest possible bad guys ever, as is bellick. just really friendly guys and you kind of wonder if it's because their characters are so sinister in the show. this is truly not a show worth missing. even if you find it mediocre at best, you undoubtedly will be intrigued beyond far more than you expect. last note i will make is that this blu-ray gets in the top 20% of many blu-ray video quality surveys and is very impressive to watch.

    BEST SEASON BY FAR
    5
Posted by: from Kansas City MO on 08/02/2009This is such a good season. The suspense is incredible. I was drawn into the story. I found myself rooting for people and hoping that they escape fast. This was a very well thought out movie. Allot of planning and excellent story writing went into this season. I will admit that season 2 is not near as good. However, this is well worth the money and time to watch this. I highly reccomend this season. If you do not like profanity, and some extreme content, then this is not the season for you. Warning, when you start watching it is hard to stop.

Posted by: from Brockton, MA on 06/23/2009Prison Break is one of the best shows on television. The story is absolutely brilliant with so many things tieing it all together. The acting is amazing, especiall Wentworth as Michael Scolfield. The story may seem unreal, but the acting makes it believable.

Posted by: from Chicago, IL on 03/29/2009This is one of the better shows on television these days. The suspense and drama was good enough to make you tune every week. The only thing is that the escape is drawn out too long. Still a good show.

Posted by: from on 07/20/2008I purchased season 1 of prison break a couple of weeks ago because a friend highly recommended it and because it was on sale for $17.99. Best DVD purchase ever. I am a big fan of "24" but I think this might even be better. My wife and I watched the whole first season (all 6 DVDs) in less than a week. Also, we were visiting my mother-in-law and her husband while watching it and they got hooked on it as well, although they starting to watch around the 6th episode (DVD 2). I recommend this to people who like unpredictable shows. If I had known it was this good, I would have bought it at its original price much earlier. I am currently watching season 2 at a pace faster than the first since my mother-in-law wants to finish watching it before we leave in 5 days. I am eagerly awaiting the release of season 3 as well, which comes out August 12, so we can watch it before season 4 comes out on Fox. If you like fast paced shows, i highly recommend this.

Posted by: from New York, NY on 04/22/2008Great packaging for an awesome show. Not too many disks so you could finish the entire season without moving too much haha.. wish there were more special features though, esp. some that actually starred the actors in the show.
