It all started when my friend/roommate got a free cheapo indoor IR controlled helicopter from his boss. After having a little fun with his highly durable but uncontrollable heli, I decided to get my own. After a little research and a lot of review reading I settled on this one and never looked back. It is fast, fun, and durable. After several hard landings and/or ceiling/wall contact i decided it might be time to order some spare parts. After looking in the original instruction manual I found a website and a week later I had a package of spare parts…weeks later they're still in the original packaging, haven't broken any parts…yet. :D I highly recommend this to everyone, it's a great distraction from daily stress.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

Had a gift card and some reward point certificates, so I thought....Why not!!! It's a LOT of fun and easy to control, once you get the hang of it. iPhone app works, however I don't recommend using it. You have to look down constently taking your eyes off the helicopter. Not a good thing...
The helicopter is durrable, several small crashes with no problems yet. If anyone feels these toys should survive a large crash without breaking, you are mistaken. Let's be real...So be careful if you buy one.
The way to charge it is very convienent with the USB port.
I guess I understand the reasons for the short battery life, but with today's technology I feel it should be better. Other than that, awesome little toy!!!1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

Great price, charges fast, lasts long5

I traded the Orb copter (also found at best buy) for this and this was a much better purchase. Nearly the same price and must more stable. I can get it to hover in nearly one spot, charges quick, and lasts quite a while (played with it for more than 20 minutes I know and it was still going!)
I was not able to get the android or iphone apps to work with the copter whatsoever. I believe it is a problem with the transmitter that you plug into your device (via aux port). I have to use the remote controller that came with the helicopter instead. Maybe just a defective aux controller?
Controller takes 6 batteries :(
Crashed it around and have nicks on the blades, but seems very durable!
I actually got this for my nephew for christmas, opened it to make sure it worked, and I want one now. =(9 out of 11 found this review helpful.
