Was told by sales person this would work for my TV and my area. Nothing could be further from the truth. I think it is more of a technology issue but you really dont like to think you found a solution because of a geek's testimony only to realize you are back where you started with no digital TV reception, very frustrating.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

Easy set-up for free channels4

My wife and I have abandoned satellite television for streaming tv. However, we still need to have our local television channels for weather emergencies. This digital plug-in allows us to do just that.
In just a few minutes time we have a couple dozen new channels to watch. Now, you have to remember these channels are local. This isn't a great group of free channels. Yes I get NBC and PBS. I get CBS sometimes. I have never found FOX. And I get a WHOLE lot of televangelist religion channels I would never want to watch.
If local is something you need, this is a good practical purchase. Just don't be confused about free channels being good channels, because they won't be.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

I'm too far from the broadcast towers (20 to 30 miles?) for this set top antenna to work for me. The high def channels that I was able to receive looked great. I got more channels on the top floor near a window. However, I did not get enough channels to make this a viable option for replacing cable. I'll likely need a rooftop antenna. Be advised that this unit uses two telescoping antennas. Getting good reception necessitates moving their point of direction.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

I thought buying a amplified antenna would better my chances for getting more channels and better reception. I really dont have nothing to compare it to, but for the price I was expecting more I am disappointed in this product. I should of did more research before I bought this.
