Before buying this antenna I went to a local antenna installer to see what my options were. They charged $460 to install an outdoor antenna to get 25 channels in my area. I purchased this antenna at Best Buy and installed it myself. I get 24 of the 25 channels in my area! The only negative is the antenna does not come with screws to mount the base.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

Much better than I expected, installed in attic.5

Installed in attic above garage as backup for Direct TV / Cable and for guest room TV reception. I have a long cable run to guest room and was going to use the signal in several other locations so I added an RF amp at antenna. I am receiving at least twenty stations including all major local stations in full 1080P. Definitely more stations broadcasting than I expected, including one all local weather. Also connected to FM receiver and great signal strength and many more stations on FM. Would highly recommend to anyone if only in case of a storm and possibly loosing cable / Internet. The assembly of the antenna was relatively simple with exception to the installation of the pipe into the foot. I never did complete this to my satisfaction. Overall the antenna performs well and the signal strengths are good.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

I took it out of the box and extended the arms.
Took off my satellite and put up the antenna.
Added 61 channels in 30 minutes.
I can't believe I waited to do this.4 out of 4 found this review helpful.

great product except for transformer. Get a higher quality transformer as the one that comes with it is very cheap. However, it is the best antenna that I have found for the money and size.2 out of 2 found this review helpful.

I love the antenna, which I had installed in the attic of my townhouse condo. Nobody knows it's there, but I get 33 stations as clear as crystal. To be sure, only eleven of them are real actual broadcast stations and the other 12 are junk, but still... I was on my way to reducing those ridiculously high cable TV bills and this was my first step. Then, I hit a big snag. It seems that most, if not all, DVR's work only with Cable TV or with a subscription to TiVO. This should not be! We have a right to view free over the air HDTV and we have a right to record and replay that entertainment whenever we want. Come on people, stand up with me and let's make our lawmakers change this. Ha! Only kidding. They can't even fix the current fiscal mess.4 out of 6 found this review helpful.

I got this antenna at best buy in New Braunfels TX on 2/27/13
Installled it in about 30 minutes on my deck. We have big hills here and are about 50 miles away from towers located in San Antonio or nearby.
I am getting 26 channels perfectly. Better than the cable fiber optic we had by far. Very noticeable picture difference..
We are through paying 117.00 per month on cable bills forever. It was just getting ridiculous in price. We only watch about 7 or 8 channels anyways.
Do yourself a favor and get this antenna if you live in fringe areas.
I am not using a booster of any kind and so far excellent reception.. Highly recommend..8 out of 8 found this review helpful.

Good Outdoor TV Antenna5

AntennaWeb said I should get 16 channels. I did get 16 when I tested it from inside the house. When I put it outside I got 19. I mounted it on a vent pipe attached to the side of the house, about 20 feet up. I then ran a coax cable to the amplifier that I used to use with my cable TV service. It feeds two TVs.5 out of 5 found this review helpful.
