Synopsis

Synopsis
You're no stranger to horrors. You faced danger around every corner as you fought to solve the mystery of a grim kidnapping in Resident Evil 4. You witnessed the terror as human beings mutated into ghastly, blood-thirsty beasts in Resident Evil 5. You thought you could handle it all — but nothing could prepare you for the nightmare that awaits as you discover what really happened in the lapse between the kidnapping and the epidemic. Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA) member Chris Redfield has mysteriously disappeared; his last known location is an eerie, abandoned cruise ship. Her colleague in danger and the fate of the BSAA hanging in the balance, Jill Valentine, along with her new partner, Parker Luciani, has no choice but to venture onboard the dark, dismal ship in search of answers — but will she survive to reveal what secrets lurk in the waters?

Resident Evil: Revelations brings you face-to-face with horrors unlike any you've ever seen — emerging from the depths of the sea and bombarding out of your screen in immersive 3D. Developed exclusively for the intuitive gameplay and eye-popping graphics of the Nintendo 3DS, the latest chapter of the Resident Evil saga lends all-new depth to terror. As you explore the sinister corners and mysterious compartments of the ship, you'll soon discover you are not alone. Terrifying creatures plague your expedition, leaving you no place to hide — not even the water. To come out with your life, you'll have to employ advanced Genesis scanning equipment to analyze enemy weaknesses and discover hidden items that hold the keys to survival. Take on the gruesome creatures swiftly, using the touch screen to pull out weapons on the fly and alternating between first- and third-person shooting to get the best shot. This is no pleasure cruise, and there's no rescue boat coming to save you. It's up to you to take the helm and fight for your life.

Posted by: from New York, NY on 04/11/2012Not a huge fan of Resident Evil. I could hardly get through this game because it's scary and difficult. Of course, I'm more a JRPG kinda gal. Though I know a good game when I see one.

Great reason to buy a 3ds!

Posted by: from Baltimore, MD on 02/28/2012I have to say I had my doubts at first about buying this game after having first tried "Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D", nevertheless this is a true Resident Evil experience. You have a great story and characters, some great tensioning moments where you will jump with fright. I personally loved this game, once you get involved in the story you can’t let go of your 3ds. I enjoyed a lot the 3d graphics they really made the game look beautiful, and if you want to better take advantage of them I would recommend playing this game in somewhere dark. The only problem I would really see with this game is the controls. At first when I bought this game I hated the controls and it damaged a lot of the experience, but then I got the “3DS Circle Pad Pro” the experience improved dramatically and it really felt like a Resident Evil Game! I would of likled the story to be longer but overall this is a great game and I highly recommend it!

Fans of Resident Evil, rejoice

Posted by: from Chicago, IL on 02/15/2012Having played the previous games of Resident Evil and being a witness to all the changes in the series, I had expected this to be not much of a change or a survival horror game. I was so glad I was wrong about it. I've been playing this game for many hours now and I can say it is among the games pushing the 3DS features in the right direction. The graphics, sound and playability are all excellent. Every mission offers different challenges and they can be just as exciting as frightening. The controls are pretty good but takes a little time to get used to them, the first chapter is focused on the learning side. It doesn't take out anything off the experience. After a few plays on the story mode, the game will unlock different missions based on challenges you complete. These missions can be played in the "Raid Mode" which is the action mode of this game, very amazing for a quick play and even better if you can play with a friend. 2012 seems to be the year where Capcom shows us what they can do for fans. This game has become my favorite Resident Evil. If you think Resident Evil 4 was good, then this is a must. Remember to play it with the volume up and lights down... sound cancelling phones? even better!
