I build computers and work on them for a living. I was a bit skeptical when I saw the price but I tried it out since the Corsair H55 was too big for my case. NOTE: THIS WILL FIT THE FM2 SOCKET! As soon as I installed it which took a little longer than usual) I did some simple tasks on my PC and even ran a couple games. I noticed my CPU was running 10 degrees cooler than the stock! FANTASTIC for only $18!!! AND IT COMES WITH THERMAL PASTE IN CASE YOURE WONDERING!!- Build or modify your own PC : Yes

Fan works as described made my Intel Core 2 Quad's temps go from idling at 50C to 30C with just this fan alone.- Build or modify your own PC : Yes

The Rocketfish fan works great, it dropped my temperature by 8 degrees Celsius, (AMD Phenom II 965 140W Black Edition) and I only paid 9.99 for it due to it being an "open box." For the price I paid excellent little fan, wish it was quieter, and I wish they sold the mounts separately as I did not have the screws in my product and have more than enough fans to add in a second one.
One side note to watch is to make sure you have enough space in your case for a fan like this. A lot of people who buy these things don't think to measure the width of their cases and can run into problems with the door of their case not closing after. Wasn't a problem for me, but I could see it being an issue for others.- Build or modify your own PC : Yes

Brought temps from 63 to 32 steady under full load. Well priced and I'm very satisfied! I used AS ceramic but it also came with other paste in the box.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

Quiet5

Bottom line is this thing is much quieter than the stock fan on my AMD-FX 8350. It's also much bigger, which is fine if that's what it takes. I had to unscrew the air funnel on my case door - I need a full tower case man, just too claustrophobic in there!
Anyway, the worst part with the fan is the install because I had so little room to work with. You might need to remove the power supply, video card or maybe even the entire motherboard to get this on. But once it's on, it's much quieter than the stock fan. Plus, the stock fan had a higher pitch to it, but this one has a lower tone so it's not so annoying.
Best part about the fan is the price and that you can actually walk into most Bestbuys and get it and not have to mess with ordering online.- Build or modify your own PC : Yes

Great cooling for low price5

Took my temps down 20 degrees C compared to stock A8 cooler! Easy fit if you pay attention to how to thread AMD clip through the pipes. By setting to pull I don't even need a rear fan in my Silverstone case. At low setting it's almost silent. Best solution for a small case like my mini ATX.- Build or modify your own PC : Yes

Installed this ontop of my phenom 2 x4 955 BE, Fits real nice and the cpu stays at a solid 34c while overclocked to 4Ghz and under a heavy load. Im used to much louder fans and I caught myself checking to see if it was still spinning. For the price and performance I couldn't ask for a better heatsink /fan.- Build or modify your own PC : Yes

Bought this at Best Buy. Got it home and found there were no instructions. Looking further, found the grease already on the contact. The product wasn't new, It was used, probably a return. Of course Best Buy didn't mark the package. Went on line and found the manual and printed the pages I needed. No thermal grease in the package as shown in the contents list.. Guess the last owner used it all. Lucky I had some left over from the last build. Fan is a good product, but will keep an eye on things I purchase from Best Buy so I don't get used products any more.- Build or modify your own PC : Yes
