Great Combo for the price!4

Rocketfish wireless keyboard and mouse has been working great for me. It was a great price too! I was told to go with a bluetooth wireless mouse for long range and those are sometimes as much as this combo alone. I have a baby and needed a wireless mouse for use when streaming shows and movies while in recliner with the baby....not wanting to get up and disturb the baby, lol! With that I needed something with long range (we have an unusually long and large living room) and this mouse it great for that. The distance from my recliner to our TV is about 18 feet and we don't have any problems with the wireless mouse or keyboard. With that, it is too far to read the screen if you are checking email or something else, so you have to then pull the keyboard out and change the zoom of the screen. The keyboard is really large and clunky and that part I do not like. The keyboard works great however. For the price when needing a long range mouse, this is a great deal....and then at least you have a wireless keyboard for other uses. Super easy to set up too!0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

Frustrating!!!2

Its a shame that the keyboard has to constantly "go to sleep" The keyboard is also a little on the small side. Compared to the keyboard I use at work I am always hitting the caps locks when I try and type an "a" If you haven't typed anything in the past 30 seconds they keyboard will go to sleep and not type your first one or two letters or mix them up. It would be a much better option for a slower typing person or a kid based on the small typing area. I would stay away from this one0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

SURE, THE KEYBOARD SLEEPS AND MISSES THE FIRST LETTER WHEN YOU FIRST START TYPING, SO, NOW THAT YOU KNOW THIS, TAB ANY KEY BEFORE STARTING TO TYPE, AND YOU ARE ON YOUR WAY. NICE ADDITION TO A DEVICE WITH A SMALL KEYBOARD OR WHEN YOU WANT TO WORK ON YOUR DEVICE FROM A DISTANCE...LIKE WATCHING IT ON YOUR TV. MOUSE WORKS FINE AS WELL. GREAT PURCHASE.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

Great price, got on deal of the day. Great range, works anywhere on the first floor of my house, beyond advertised range. Seems to always miss first key stroke after not using for a while, but I've gotten used to that and it is not a problem for me. I have already recommended it to others. Also, battery life seems great too as long as you use good batteries. Don't be upset when the set that comes with it doesn't last too long.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

I went in to get a new computer setup and the sales associate recommended this wireless keyboard and mouse. I thought it was a great deal for the price. After about a month I noticed that it was taking longer for the computer to recognize the keyboard and mouse before I could use them. It got to the point where I had to reinstall it a couple of times. Eventually it just stopped working altogether and I'm back with a wired system.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

Misses keystrokes1

This keyboard frustrated me beyond belief. I'm a fast typist (around 100 wpm) and the keyboard frequently rearranged my keystrokes, got them backwards, or simply missed them all together. This is a problem I have not had on any other keyboard. Perhaps due to the wireless function? Sadly, I cannot return this product as I didn't get a chance to try it out until after the return policy ended, since I was in the middle of a move. Oh well..0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

I have had the Rocketfish keyboard since around black Friday. It is a great keyboard for the price. Definitely not a higher end brand such as Logitech or Microsoft, but you get what you pay for.
The wrist rest, while its fake leather and does provide some ergonomics , it could be wider. Also they keys are not "quiet" as I've had on other keyboards. Also keys have a tendancy to stick and if your a fast typer like me , the keyboard struggles to mepp up. Overall nice feel and options for the price, just would be careful if you're expecting a better user feel from the keys. Overall nice for home use but would go Logitech or Microsoft for business use.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

Spent 2 hours trying to connect to no avail1

After spending about two hours on various PC's and never getting it to connect - I decided to read the reviews online. Now, of course, I see this keyboard, while beautifully designed, is a total piece of garbage.
I've never bought wireless specifically for this reason - my fears have been confirmed.
Back to Best Buy I go...to get a wired keyboard and mouse. Problem solved - I've got better things to do with my time.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

Overall this is a good product. It's has an extremely large keyboard and mouse. I ordered it online during the black friday sale. I would have liked it to be more compact in size.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

No signal, shoddy performance, bad feel1

The signal wasn't able to reach the computer from 3 feet away: with my computer on my floor and my keyboard on my desk, the keyboard and mouse barely worked. I tried sitting on the floor right next to the computer and I had to get right up next to it to be used smoothly. It wasn't just a defective unit as I actually returned it and got a replacement. On top of all that, it's not even comfortable to use. The "pad" that is attached to the keyboard is ineffectual and feels uncomfortable, and the mouse is way too big. Even if it's cheaper, it's not worth your time.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

It was easy to set up but the response range is poor. It also needs to be reset almost every week. The rocketfish doesn't begin to compare with the Logitec keyboard on my other computer but the price was considerably less. Bottom line, you get what you pay for in this world.....0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

The most annoying thing about this keyboard is that it has no lights to tell if caps lock os on or not. There is no way to tell if it's on. It also worked very slow and eventually I stopped using it alltogether.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

I have a keybaord and a mouse that are not a combo for my laptop, so when I bought this for my husband when it was on sale I couldn't believe it was all hooked on one usb port. It works great, have not problems with it. I have had this over a month and I rather use his desk top then my laptop cause of the use of extra ports for the camera and syncing the mp3 player. I just tried buying another one and wow what a price change. I paid like so much less then what it is now. Now the question is do I pay the full price and get what I really want or do I wait for it to go back on sale. Will not get another brand though. I love this brand.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

Junk; Don't bother1

I wish I had read these reviews before grabbing one on sale at the store. I wanted a wireless keyboard/mouse combo with navigation buttons on the mouse without spending $70+. Seemed perfect; liked the slick design.
I had the same problems with dropped letters as the other reviewers. I thought it was just me getting used to the bigger keyboard after my netbook. I had to constantly go back and fix spelling -- several times EVERY sentence.
The dongle broke within a week and a half. Just fell apart. I put it back together, but it doesn't work.
100% waste of money! I'll spring for the Logitech.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

Not the best, but fine for my uses.3

We have a tower under our TV hooked up with HDMI and needed a wireless mouse/keyboard so we could search for TV shows or movies to watch on the TV via computer. For our uses this keyboard is great, not a lot of typing is needed, an extremely responsive mouse isn't needed, just a few words and clicks here and there. That said, this mouse/keyboard combo is NOT good for a gamer, or someone that needs an ultra responsive set, but more wireless things will be that way. I think it is slow because it sort of, shuts itself off to not waste battery, but I'm not sure. It does drop letters, and the mouse is kinda slow on the start up. The keyboard has lots of cool functions, the keys are nice to the touch, the mouse is on the bigger side, the soft pad before the keyboard is nice as well.4 out of 4 found this review helpful.

Don't Buy!1

I really tried to like this, and really tried to make it work, but finally couldn't handle the dropped letters anymore. As was mentioned in many of the reviews, the keyboard seems to go to sleep and then when you first start typing, it will miss the first letter. But then it misses letters periodically while typing, and I am bad enough of a typist to not need any additional help :-# The issue I think is that the driver is only for the mouse, keyboard uses a standard Windows default, and maybe there is just something built into the keyboard that causes the dropped letter problem.
Wound up buying the Microsoft Wireless Comfort 5000, and so far so good! Love the customizability of the keyboard buttons as well as the mouse #no customizing the keyboard on the Rocketfish one!# Not a gamer, so can't speak to the accuracy for that, but the keyboard can be customized for specific programs as well, so that could be pretty cool - can't wait to try it for Word as I am old school and still use keyboard shortcuts all the time. Meanwhile, going to donate the Rocketfish, wouldn't feel right selling it #too late to return.)15 out of 16 found this review helpful.

I recently got a big screen TV that allows for the computer to be hooked up to it. So I did so. Well I was trying to minimize my cost and bought this product so that I could have a wireless keyboard/mouse so I didn't have long cords running across my living room. Well this keyboard and mouse is horrible. Every so often I guess it is "reconnecting" or something because I could be in the middle of typing a word and it doesn't type anything. Or the mouse will freeze for a few seconds. Yep taking it back and getting the Logitech one.9 out of 9 found this review helpful.

good for the price4

I've used this for about three months now. It's nothing special, but for the price you're getting a good value.
There was some review on here that it type slow and does not work in BIOS mode. Both of these I can say are untrue. Perhaps it was related to the user's machine. Running vista with a recent Intel board I have no problems at all with this setup.
The mouse has good tracking, not exceptional tracking, but good. Again, consider the price. The keyboard is responsive. Not exceptionally fast, but will be responsive enough for most users. The side buttons make sense and are actually useful. I've seen a lot of keyboards with unneccessary side buttons. The pad below the keyboard is a nice touch.
I suggest for anyone having problems with this keyboard to update your system or buy a much more expensive model. For the price, this is a good vaue.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.
