Posted by: from Chicago on 02/15/2012The price and look are ok, but whenever you tighten the band it twists and digs into your arm. Switching to the broken, better design.

Good for securing I-phone during weight training.
4
Posted by: from Chicago, IL on 02/12/2012I use the armband when I weight train and it works well. Its a little challenging getting the i-phone into the case, but it's much easier to take the i-phone out of the case. The i-phone could get scuffed as well as their is no screen protector. But overall a good product.

Good Only If...
4
Posted by: from Charleston, SC on 12/01/2011I have and iPhone 4s. The armband is looks very pleasing to me. I really like how it looks when I put it on and it's comfortable too. Although, it's made of some of that stretchy material, be aware that there is no room for a case because the front is some hard material. I tried and it didn't fit right and I was risking tearing the armband. From what I'm seeing there isn't really an armband that compensate for cases, which makes sense since cases do come in all shapes and sizes. I'm quite good with my hands so snapping on and off cases isn't a big deal for me. There is a slit on the back near the top where you slide your iPhone into. I have to admit it was annoying that it wasn't "natural" and "intutitive." I'm crafty with my hands and fingers so I was able to get the hang of it. I don't sweat that much, but when I do the sweat it does seep into the slits. I don't feel like I sweat enough where it will get into the phone, but for those who sweat like crazy beware of this. It would of been nice if they they gave the slit an overlapping sleeve. I'm sure this would of made it easier for some to insert the iPhone and address the seeping of sweat. The hard front cover does cover all sides and only has a opening the jack for the headphones so using the - and + buttons on the phone is not idea. I use headphones with remote so not an issue for me. There is no clear cover on the front. I'm not sure how I feel about this since It would of been nice to have some extra protection, even if I have a screen guard in place. It would of also help made the sides more stable. You can see that the left and right a pulled a bit when you look at it. Of course that would of given the iPhone screen a slightly translucent look, instead of a clear view. In short, if you have trouble dealing thing that require finger precision, despise taking off and putting on cases routinely, or sweat a ton this may not be a good fit for you. I got this armband on Black Friday for $10 so it was really a steal for what it is. I would of been slightly disappointed for $20, but it would still be a decent price.

Very hard to use
2
Posted by: from Charleston, SC on 11/29/2011This case seems good, but it is very poorly designed. It is very hard to get the phone in and out. There's a slit in the back that you slide the phone into, but it's about an inch down from the top, so once you slide it in, you have to pry this inch of fabric back over the top of the phone, and it's really a pain. Another downside is that the armband is connected to the case, so you can't take just the phone and case off--you either slide the phone out or carry around the entire armband (when you're not working out). Another issue is the volume buttons are completely blocked, as is the top button (though with the top button, you can push down on the outside of the case, and it usually works--with the volume buttons being on the side, that isn't so easy). I do like that there's no plastic on the front, so you have direct contact to the screen. I actually haven't run with it yet, but I know when I do, I'll have several minutes invested in just getting the phone in and out.

DON'T USE
1
Posted by: from Lynnwood on 08/09/2011So I purchased this product thinking Rocketfish makes a quality product. The first time I used this product I ran 4 miles, then took it off, removed the phone, then took a shower. After my shower I noticed my iPhone kept saying headphones were plugged in and the sound would not work. No matter what I did I could not get the sound to work. It took about 8 hours before the phone fixed itself. I thought it was just a fluke and was happy my phone started to work again. The second time I used this, I ran 5 miles. I did the same thing, took the phone out and unplugged the headphones. Once again the sound didn't work and phone thought headphones were plugged in all day, and the camera just stopped working. Even though the sound came back the camera was just broken. I took the phone to apple and they told me I have water damage inside my phone. I was lucky it was only in the headphone jack and not the 30 pin connector or they would not of honor my warranty. So if you wear this and sweat from a good workout, don't use this or it WILL destroy your phone.

good product idea with some flaws
3
Posted by: from MD on 01/31/2011i used to work at best buy and i am a very avid gym buff. when most people at gyms use armbands its usually because they are only running. i use the armband for lifting with my iphone 3gs too. this product is unique because it is one of the only 3gs armbands i could find. this product is also awesome because it allows you to use a [(incase)-or some cases] attached to the i phone and it will still fit inside the armband perfectly. -there is one drawback though. it pertains to the buckle that u can loosen and tighten on the band to fit to your arm. the buckle will eventually start to warp and it makes tightening the armband an annoying task. one thing to remember is that although few armbands will support the 3g you can still use select certain iphone 4g armbands and it will support a 3g phone but with no room for a case.

secure hold and no wobble
5
Posted by: from Arlington, VA on 01/30/2011I really like that this case is flush with the strap and allows no wobble/bounce when I run (unlike my last sports band). Very comfy, easy to access controls on phone. It's easy to remove the phone by snapping the fabric off the top of the phone, but it's a little difficult to get the phone into the tight fitting fabric backing. Also, I would prefer that the case had some protective cover over the screen of my phone. Both of these are not big issues for me since I only use for running on the treadmill. This was a good value, good comfort, and good durability thus far! Love it!

Droid Incredible
4
Posted by: from Indiana on 01/04/2011I bought this armband yesterday and used it to work out this morning. The droid incredible does not have it's own armband but this armband works out pretty well. It fits in there very snug. The only thing I don't like about this is the headphone jack opening is on the opposite side of where the droid's is but that was an easy fix. I just took a knife and made my own hole which worked out great this morning. I am about 5'5 and 120 pounds (my arms are little) so I was afraid this wouldn't fit tight enough but it did - it also has alot of room for guys with big muscles too. If you own a droid - I'd say go with this until they come out with one specifically for the incredible.

Not well designed
1
Posted by: from Wilmington, NC on 08/30/2010The opening that allows one to insert the iphone is incredibly tight... so much so that I found it almost impossible to use. A second one we purchased actually had the opening cut in the BOTTOM of the iphone pouch. Both were returned.

Excellent!!!
5
Posted by: from Westchester, NY on 06/04/2010My biggest issue with armband iPhone cases that I've used in the past is that they have a clear plastic cover to protect the screen while runno=img. The problem was that I use Zagg's Invisible shield. When my body warms up(along with the plastic cover of the prievious armbands I've used...the plastic adheres to the Invisible Shield. When I try to remove my iPhone from the case it caused the Invisible shield to stretch and crease...permanently. This case doesn't do this because it's open and still keeps my iPhone snugly in place! Thanks Rocketfish!!

Best One I've Tried
5
Posted by: from Dallas, TX on 05/23/2010I've tried several other armbannds for the iPhone and none of them have been as good as this one. Easy access to you touch screen and the molded case securely holds your phone. I love it!!!

Bad Design
1
Posted by: from austin, tx on 05/11/2010Looks cool but it's a poor design, no hole for the charging connection, if you have any other case (ANY) you have to take out to put the iphone in this band (every time) ; cannot fit it around your hand 'cause there's no enough velcro (thinner people might have a problem too). Only buy it if it's dirt cheap...mine is going back to the store...

Look elsewhere
1
Posted by: from Appleton, WI on 01/23/2010This is NOT a good armband for iphone. When putting on, the velcro gets stuck on clamp. Bends very badly when in use. It's like it wasn't even designed for the iphone. Kudos to Best Buy for the "no questions asked" return policy. Do not buy this. If you do, you will be disappointed.

Worse armband ever
1
Posted by: from Irvine, CA on 09/08/2009Well I bought this armband back in march and it was the only available in store... it adjusts hard, hard to put on, on my 10th use the case started to bend... the iphone goes loose inside over time... Alsot I do have big biceps but even if you dont tie that armband tight (until you go gangrene), it will slip...

HORRIBLE
1
Posted by: from LA, CA on 07/21/2009Ok, i love the price of this item compared to other armbands and i really didnt have much choice, the only iphone armband in the store. So im getting ready to go running and i put the armband on and it doesnt fit, and i cant adjust it any further, great. My advise, take it out and try it at the store. And im not sure why there isn't more of a selection of iphone armbands bc the iphone 3gs comes with nike+ipod pre installed.
