I bought this for HBO GO, (they have more content then the on demand channel for Comcast.) But its not supported for Comcast.
The Box shows HBO GO so you would think it would work for everyone. I'm thinking of returning this, just for that reason. But if you don't have HBO, then this is a good device. The Ear peace is a Huge.0 out of 5 found this review helpful.

Blows Apple TV away, more channels and content!5

I owned one of the first generation Roku boxes when this first was released and ended up getting rid of it because the content was slim to none. I thought this box would never be able to keep up with the likes of Apple and Vudu. Was I ever wrong. I am a die hard Apple fan and own every type of product from Apple TV to 3 MACs to iPad and iPhones. Apple TV is okay but depending on iTunes for everything and the lack of new content just makes it mediocre in comparison to this. This box is slicker, more streamlines content and a plethora of content from over 700 different channel applications. Plus it is easier to use with a very seamless interface and screens. You can also add channels from your computer and it goes directly on your account. The channel lineup is awesome, everything from movies and TV channels to outdoor and fitness, technology, news, internet TV and exclusive content channels. Plus with Netflix, Amazon Prime (Apple has yet to add this), Hulu and Epix and HBOGo and Blockbuster Video, it blows away the movie content on Apple. I never thought I would knock an Apple product, but Apple TV has never been the greatest. Don't get me wrong, I will never get rid of my Apple TV due to the sync with iTunes, but I will not use it as much for downloading on demand movies. Plus Roku boxes never shut off or sleep and having to put Apple TV to sleep so it doesn't burn up is a royal pain. Do yourself a favor and buy this box, it is reasonably priced and uses less power than a nightlight. Very happy with this purchase!4 out of 4 found this review helpful.

This thing was super easy to set up, and has been running great since day one. This is the only device that I've used that has been able to stream Hulu Plus in full HD without stuttering. I love the fact that I can go from my TV being off, to watching something on Netflix or Hulu in under 15 seconds. The headphone feature is also great, seeing as my wife always falls asleep before any movie is over, and I can plug them in, and listen as loud as I want. I wish that it supported more file types through USB, but if you use Handbrake, which is endorsed on the Roku website, you covert pretty much any file to play.11 out of 11 found this review helpful.

In the 2XS., the USB port was upside down. In the "3", it is right-side up. Roku must have been listening. The earphones are a nice feature when silence is needed. The set-up is tricky as the only way I could set-up a wireless connection was to hard wire the "3". Once it saw the network, I could remove the ethernet cable but I did this using a wireless connection setting. This was a ridiculous situation as the dreaded 014 error suggested the Roku was too far from the router and should be repositioned. Never mind that the unit was 1 foot away from my router.
Overall, the extra weight, correcting the USB connection, new interface and zippier performance make this unit a major improvement.20 out of 25 found this review helpful.

I've owned several Rokus over the past few years. The original Roku XD in my bedroom was starting to show its age so I decided to purchase the Roku 3 as soon as it was announced.
I'm very impressed with this streamer. The new UI is very slick and the added processing power is definitely noticeable. I primarily use my Roku for streaming Netflix, Amazon, and PrisonPlanet.tv, but there are a ton of additional "free" channels for content junkies. The ability to play games is a neat idea but I doubt I will be using this feature.
My favorite feature by far is the private listening mode built into the remote. My wife constantly complains that I have the volume up too high on TV when she's trying to sleep and this provides a perfect solution. When you plug in a set of earbuds (included), the Roku automatically mutes the TV and streams to the headphones. It works flawlessly!!! Happy wife - happy life :-)
The Roku 3 is a HUGE upgrade to my original Roku XD and Roku LT. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a streaming media player.69 out of 81 found this review helpful.
