Love the sound, love being able to control the whole house from my smart phone. I had a few problems getting it set up but the customer service was wonderful. They had me up in no time and even followed up to make sure it was all working right. I was so impressed that I bought a system for my son for Christmas.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

I really enjoy my Sonos Play:3. I use it at work to listen to mainly Internet radio. Great for background music. It's not going to supply music for your next party, but I bought this just for casual listening, not parties. My main gripe is the fact that Sonos does not support Google Play Music, yet. This is a major drawback for me and many others. The fact that you can't directly play music stored in iCloud without going through your iDevice is a bother, as well. But I blame that on Apple.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

Complicated setup for Apple users1

I bought Sonos for my husband for Christmas. We are both fairly tech savvy and usually have no problems setting up new electronics. After over 4 hours of trying to get our music added to the Sonos library and being placed on hold for over 30 minutes by customer service we gave up. We tried multiple Internet searches and it seems many other Apple users are having the same issue we did. I am not sure if this is an issue with Apple compatibility or not but we returned the product out of frustration. We brought home the Bose sound link instead and were listening to music in seconds. If you are willing to spend a significant amount of time setting up the system and are very good with computer this would probably be a great system for you.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

Good sound, poor connectivity3

Not specified in the details, you MUST use the SONOS software. This product also MUST have a hard-wire (CAT5) cable plugged directly to your router to work as a stand-alone speaker.
If you want more than one speaker, you MUST use a bridge.
All these "requirements" render this speaker very inflexible and downgrade its use. I'm disappointed in this and likely to return the product.3 out of 5 found this review helpful.

Great alternative to ceiling speakers5

I was going to put ceiling speakers throughout my house, but didn't want the expense and hassle. The Sonos was a perfect alternative. I bought three Sonon 3's and can't be happier. Easy to set up and the sound quality is top-notch.0 out of 2 found this review helpful.

Technology always takes patience5

Like anything unfamiliar, you have to be patient and learn what it's about and get your self used to using it. The 1 star reviews I think are due to not wanting to put in the effort to make it work. No it doesn't stream from the ipod but it does play your entire iTunes library.. which is better IMO and what is already on your ipod/ipad. The software is simple to install and user friendly. The set up is literally the push of a button (two really). You'll have to install some apps, update some things, put in username and passwords for services like Sirius, Pandora but with 15-20 minutes of work you're done - for good. I have it on my deck, garage, kitchen, bedroom. My wife listens in the kitchen while I'm listening in the garage. You need to know what unit is best for your situation. I have the connect amp for the deck as I bought boston outdoor speakers..it's incredible. The garage I have the connect amp as I use my bose bookshelf speakers, the kitchen is play5, it delivers incredible sound and fills the kitchen and the entire downstairs for that fact and the bedroom I run (2) play 3's in stereo, 1 on either side of the bed. With free apps like Songza, bed time has never been so peacefully. I also use the bridge which was free with the play3 purchase to boost my wireless signal. Buy a great wireless router if you're going to run multiple sonos components. It's an incredible system and you'll keep upgrading if you buy just one and try it in a room. You can buy an Ipod dock but that's all you're going to get. The remote app on the iPhone/ipad is awesome and with out bugs/glitches and its free. People come to my house and it's a conversation piece and have found a few of them purchased a play5 after the visit and discussion... they plan on doing their house. Don't be intimidated by the low reviews, remember to read and be patient. It's worth it in the end. The cost is about $50 a unit higher than I would like to pay but don't buy an entire house system at once. Piece by piece.6 out of 6 found this review helpful.
