OK sound, not great and EXPENSIVE!2

We just finished remodeling our lower level family room and I wanted something clean, easy to use and decent sounding our new room. We bought this on the recommendation of the sales rep. It sounded really great in store. When we got it home and hooked up which was very easy BTW it didn't sound nearly as good. It sounds decent but not nearly like it should for the money. It's either not powerful enough for our room or we chose the wrong soundbar. We really expected more sound for the money. I read some other reviews on-line and many recommend the Sonos subwoofer as an add. We went back to the store to see if they could show us one but they said they were out of stock. I wouldn't recommend this because it's too expensive for the sound you get. Maybe we will check back to see it demonstrated with the sub before we return it for another solution for our room.1 out of 4 found this review helpful.

I was amazed at how awesome this thing sounded after I was done installing everything, Me And My Wife Were in Awe!!! because we had been in the market for a new surround sound for a while and were really gonna buy a Bose system UNTIL we were introduced to Sonos for the very first time and we were sold and blown away. Wouldnt change it for anything. JUST MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE SUB ASWELL it will blow your mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!21 out of 23 found this review helpful.

I had a Sony 3D sound bar to pair with my 55" Sony Bravia and I was looking for something a bit better. I visited Best Buy and the Magnolia guys demonstrated this for me and I was blown away! It is technologically advanced and innovative allowing you to connect to your router to sync up with your Ipad or Iphone to not only control but play music wirelessly. Plus the sound connected to your TV is awesome. Forget the cluttered look of a home theater system with a receiver and wires coming from every direction, this is one single bar connected to the TV with one wire. The set up could not have been simpler. Plus it syncs with any universal remote and paired up with my Harmony 900 nicely. The total set up to less than 10 minutes and I was up and running. I eventually would buy the other speakers to pair with this playbar but for now this does a great job on its own. My only concern is that it is pretty large and takes up the front of the TV but who cares. It does a great job and cranking it up, it blows away any 5.1 system!23 out of 25 found this review helpful.

I bought this on the recommendation from the salesperson at Best Buy. He said Sonos was great and I would love it. I took it home and set it up. It sounded OK for some TV but not good for anything else. It's very underpowered and sounded weak. Overall not a great unit, I took it back and bought another soundbar to replace it.8 out of 49 found this review helpful.

This is my first piece of Sonos equipment - the easiest piece of equipment I've ever set up.

Poor sound quality, not at all surround sounding1

I bought this yesterday at my local Best Buy store after waiting for what seemed like forever only to be completely disappointed. I was expecting great sounding TV sound for movies, sports, etc... WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. I took it home, it was easy enough to setup as I have Sonos already in my kitchen so I was familiar. I didn't get the bracket so I just set in on my TV stand. I played parts of a movie, I watched college basketball and listened to some music. The music was decent yet nothing spectacular, it definitely needed to be more powerful. The surround sound effects were poor in both a sports environment and for movies. Overall I am just really disappointed in this product especially from Sonos, what a let down.
I went back to the store late last night and got the Bose Cinemate SR-1 and what a great product. I was amazed at the difference.

This sound bar is aesthetically pleasing and sounds great for movies and music. I set this up in a medium sized room and it filled the room with sound. I did not want wires running all over the place, and this eliminates the need for that. I have to say I am a fan
Although no sub comes with it, I plan on picking up the Sonos sub as well to get even lower low end frequency's.34 out of 35 found this review helpful.
